One of the guys I know finished up early November. He’s on the north side of the south fork, away from the ocean, was good weed. Reminds me of guys when surfing wishing it was bigger, offshore wind, lower tide etc. my point is, it’s what’s happening now. I can’t transport to beautiful California, but I sure do enjoy growing weed here.
Gotta love them micro climates up and down the coast. What grows in one may not happen in the next.

OK then just keep growing by the numbers! When you become an instinctual grower you'll know when your finish line arrives. It doesn't matter where you live. Was just trying to help, bet you've never looked at the book, and your assuming the info isn't in there 🤩
You’re right! I shouldn’t assume! There must be chapters in there about what to do when the remnants of a hurricane blow through in September, or a cold nor Easter with two weeks of rain presents itself in October! with all of the delightful little things, trying to kill your plant that it brings with it! I’m sure the book is region specific! My bad!✌️ and someday I will be lucky enough to be an instinctual grower!

Whoops once again I post in the wrong place. My remarks were directed at the guy who started the post. Sorry!

And you do a good job of it! Learned over many seasons! You know me and my big mouth I was just fucking with you! If it’s not too late, I’ll try and make it up to you! GO ISLANDERS!!!!🥳🥰🫣✌️😁 oh shit! Isle’s are hanging on by the skin of their teeth! Still in the hunt!
I stir people up all the time, say anything with a straight face, people freak. That’s my gig. You got it mastered!

Mel Frank is actually before Ed Rosenthal's time. My point was about marijuana grow basics, not the environmental obstacles you have to overcome. If you can overcome issues and correct them on your own, then you are instinctual. You started growing before the internet even existed didn't you. What did you do then?

Maybe the guy should consult with guys who are successful growers in his region.

I’ve only been growing for five years! But I read Rosenthal stuff way back in the day. I don’t remember any of it! And of the five, the first two were crash and burns for the most part! Because I did rely on instincts! But you’ll learn a little every year and with a little common sense, can figure it out! I think he should read as much as he possibly can! No such thing as TMI! But that’s what this forum is for for him to connect with people in his area and get their ideas on what works for them! And I hope someone back their offers up a few ideas on a sativa that might work in his neck of the woods! And what works best for them back there! In ground, pots, soil, make up, training, etc.! Hell out here everything works! So I’m no good to help! So I hope he, or she starts a thread and titles it something like, throwing down outdoors in Connecticut! Ideas needed! And then go from there! I agree with everything you said about learning the basics from books! You old fart! 😂😍👍
