As an American citizen I get enraged when I here whats happening in Europe with censorship and putting people in jail for things that they say, because they’re deemed hateful. Absolutely disgusting my response to this is: fuck the mother fuckers in their over sensitive fat pasty white asses! I wish these country’s had constitutional protections like we have here in the states. Very difficult to fathom for a guy who’s been speaking his mind freely since his first words as a toddler.

What do you use to stir? I came up short when I did my first run, and ended up using a meat tenderizer because it was the only thing sturdy enough to move through the ice and weed mixture without bending.

The Phish fans have a higher rate of pretentious assholes than any other jamband scene Ive encountered. I still love the music, but sometimes the fans are a bit much. But I have never been able to get to a Ween show, I love those guys, one of my favorite songs from them:

I really dig the sitar in this song and typically only like the studio version of this song because they don’t tour with a sitar player. I think sitar has a resonance that taps into the psychedelic realm better than most other instruments.

A sitar literally sounds like auditory hallucinations, its very cool, but a fretless bass (played well) sounds like liquid

The problem with a fretless bass is how unbelievable difficult they are to play and make sound good. But of you actually get good at em, holy shit. A sitar is very difficult to play, but only because of the shape on the instrument and how few ways there are to even properly hold it, and how difficult they are to setup to sound right when you play them

most people have never heard a truly talented fretless bass player though, everyone has heard a sitar. so its a pretty poor comparison lol

i call phish fans "Phish Heads" because its funny to me how little a sense of humor that fan group often has. They HATE being called phish heads. If i was a huge phish fan id OWN the term, its so obvious, and so funny.... Kind of crazy when you consider the band theyre all about.

No judgement though, but i definitely dont understand the "phish head" culture

my thing with fretless guitars is that i just dont usually enjoy most of the styles of playing they are used for, nor their sound. But thats just an opinion anyway.


Pretty often i hear soemthing played on a fretless bass thats normally played on a fretless, and i have an "Oh crap, that sounds so much smoother and creamier and trippier"


When i hear fretless electric guitars, and NO DISRESPECT AT ALL to the players of such instruments, NOR their obviously fantastic talent, but what i hear reminds me of a winding up electric motor with most fretless electric guitar players, and i dont usually consider it to be a very pleasant sound, a cool sound yea, but not ones i would sit and listen to out of taste alone, and most of the time i find myself wishing whatever the piece was, was just being played on a fretted guitar instead. Its def fun to watch the fretless guys jam out though.


Its just a matter of taste and nothing more, but never personally have i heard a fretless electric guitar that was actually using a guitar tone, and thought "Woah, that sounds so good" and it still hasnt happened. Just more winding and ringing out electric motor sounds lol. To my ears anyway. it's like everything is running through a digitech whammy pedal, all the time.

And thats honestly how most guitar players i know personally feel when it comes to a fretless guitar. They just dont sound very good. very impressive though, yes.



Although there is this guy..... i am a huge fan of this guy's fretless guitar playing. But it doesnt sound like a fretless guitar it sounds like a womans voice. so.... lol
