It’s hard to tell from these pictures. That purple on the fan leaves looks great though!

How long have they been going for? You got a loupe?

been going since jan but about 3 weeks in flower, they havent grown or changed in the last 10 days tho.

I'm brand new to growing, but from what I've read, it should be ready to harvest when some (20%ish I think) of the trichomes start to turn from clear/white to amber.

Like BearWater said, get a jeweler's loupe and look at the trichomes to determine what color they are.

only have an old glass microscope no loupe.
You mean magnifying glass? That’ll work enough for you to see : ) its just hard to get pics and share on here. Even with a loupe it’s hella hard to get decent weed pics (as you stated earlier) lol!

If it is in fact a microscope you could absolutely take a piece of a bud and look at it like UncleJimmy said.

I can loose a bud to scientific mcrooscope interigation but pointless as i dont know what i would be looking for at 100x magnification+how would put it on a microscope slide?.

haha yeah, It's been 35 years since I've used a microscope, so not sure how/if it will work. I know a lot of growers use USB microscopes, but you mentioned yours was an old glass one.

Anyway, a loupe is like $10 on Amazon and can probably be there by morning.

I was only looking for a rough idea on how far/long i should give it in weeks before i harvest,it looks like a lot of the pistyles have stopped growing?,is that a clue?.

can anyone give a rough estimate of how much longer they have to go by the pics?.

Typically expect 8-10 weeks in flower depending on genetics. Some can flower over that but I wouldnt expect many to be under that unless it’s a fast variety. If the breeder says 8 expect 9

heres a flew closeup pics of a sugar leaf topside under my glass old fashiioned microscope with a digicam eyepiece insert.

Clear photos would help. Here is the guideline:

When your calyx are swollen, pistils mostly dark, trichomes mostly cloudy and with the amount of amber trichomes you want, they are ripe and ready to harvest.

If you're going to grow a jewelers loop or even a cheap magnifying camera should be in your toolkit.

are the pics not clear?.
No they are dark as night. Can't you take a pic of the plant outside of the tent pull the pot out? Man those pics don't come close to using natural light. I want to know how you see your pics compared to other growers posting photos and asking questions.

Magnify flowers not leaves when you inspect your trichomes!
Apologize for posting off the top! TMI

If all your plants have trichomes as amber as your top 2 photos show, and you have more amber than milk, you're overripe Anything from there on potency degrades. Couchlock! Those little white dots are a lesser type trichome that contains a little THC. There are 4 other types that provide plant security.
