I agree about food losing its taste over the years, almost like Stephen King's The Langoliers (from his collection Four Past Midnight) the story where a group of passengers on a plane wakes up to find that everyone else has vanished—and they’ve somehow slipped into a version of the world where time has stopped.


As they explore, they notice that:

• Food is tasteless
• Sound is muted
• Smells are faint or gone
• Everything feels “off” or lifeless

We just bought this movie after the girlfriends kid read the book, well he’s still reading the book, the other stories.

Most of the dinners I cook for my family are made from scratch. It takes longer to prepare meals that way but at this point I am convinced that quick cheap and easy is about as far from natural as possible. I probably spent over an hour preparing this plate the other day but it was worth every second. Here’s what I made the next night:View attachment 2416256took the remnants from the strainer when I made hot sauce the night before and ran a little bit of olive oil, white vinegar, water and lemon juice through it a few times to make a marinade for my chicken tenders, baked them in the oven, chopped up some fresh celery and carrots and served with a generous amount of blue cheese dressing.

Ever since then, foods have tasted much better, and the best part is fruits taste like how fruit used to taste 15, 20, or 30 years ago!

Extra benefits are losing weight, feeling better, sleeping better, and I cured myself of Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis!

Foods taste a lot better for us too. We didn’t make any dietary alterations other than moving to a place that has next to no fast food and a handful of restaurants that all serve the same thing. We make the majority of our meals at home and I feel massively better today than I did half a decade ago. Like you, stomach problems are a thing of the past for the most part.

This is incredible, you mean you fixed your guts naturally without having to take a medication for the rest of your life. Isn’t it strange how the path of least resistance is actually the path with the most pitfalls? Doing things the hard way is better for you, and more rewarding too. I made the analogy the other day when talking to my friend, as a species that went from hunter gatherer to farmer to a mass consumer in just over a span of 12,000 years. The luxury of not having to either, grow or raise your food is a new one, less than 100 years old at this point. So the mere fact that we can eat pre packaged garbage full of chemicals, goes against our own evolution as a species. It only makes sense that convenience stores are saving you minutes on one end of your life and taking years away on the other end of your life. Not that convenient now are they??

She’s happy as can be! They are at the table building away haha, I just disassembled the Lego Pokemon Pokédex and reassembled,they mixed up a few blocks, so I fixed er up

I can’t wait to see how they look in another 2 weeks they are bulkin up quick already the number 2 mother (left) is filling out in the 3x3 tent and will be flowered out, #3 mother and Frostette mother are in the 2x2

I’m starting to see a bit of the lime green in the pistils I saw in the kahuna 3 seed mom, we’ll see how funky she gets this time of the purples come through again

My 2x2 kahuna started pulling magnesium like crazy after I moved her from the 1x3 . I hit her with some Epsom salt foliar spray and even watered some in. I think the 6 plants that were in the 2x2 have all bounced back nicely and are adjusting well now to their transplanted pots and extra space. I now plan on flipping both tents to 12/12 on Sunday 4:20 .

What's really weird is all food from a box seems to taste different then back in the day. Almost everyone I've talked to about it says the same thing. I thought it was just me and my taste buds getting old.

Even 'ol Kraft Mac n cheese isn't as good. This is one of the reasons we don't eat much from a box or can these days.

Fast food has let us down too many times to count so we no longer bother with the majority of places. In N Out or Chick-fil-A are about the only ones that haven't fucked us over but even then it's maybe once a year when our eldest, who lives in Seattle visits.

Those beans were bought dry in bulk. Pressure cooked with tomato, onions, garlic, peppers and spices 45 minutes then fried in butter and mashed. Jasmin rice, bought in 20lb bag fried in butter then steamed with tomatoes, peppers and spices. Other than the tortillas we try to buy the ingredients and make our own, although I will make corn tortillas on occasion but personally I love the flour which are difficult to make as thin as store bought.

We're both foodies, watch a lot of cooking shows and have learned to make most of our own. World of difference in taste and health benefits

Yeah our whole family is in the process of moving completely away from canned or boxed food as much as possible and headed toward eating as many local and fresh Whole Foods as possible. It makes life a little more difficult sometimes but I feel way better.

Listened to a lot of things about gut bacteria and it’s relationship with the brain causing a lot of physical and mental problems. Just look around nowadays, it’s actually kinda scary.

ITS THE SOY! It’s turning these men into….. girls.
