Hey guys… so, I am trying to grow but things aren’t going great.

My first attempt, though still not dead, is in rough shape and in quarantine, just in case.

Things were going well until I added Gaia Green 4-4-4 and gave it its first decent watering. It flopped over, and has been clinging to life ever since.

I got about a dozen free photoperiod seeds and thought I’d see if they’d germinate and try to use them to learn.

Using Promix BX as my medium, I started 4 seedlings in 4” jiffy pots, while I amended the BX in a 3 gallon pot for first and final transplant.

Things were going fine, transplanted the seedlings smoothly without a major watering, and boom… 3 of them were limp noodles by morning.

It almost seems like the Gaia Green isn’t as gentle as advertised.

But, correlation doesn’t mean causation so… what am I missing?

Or does anyone have suggestions for an easier nutrient regiment for a BX beginning? Or maybe just noob-friendly soil?

Stuff like Fox Farm is crazy expensive… but if that’s what is takes :/

Sorry I hit post reply before I was done my explanation, I just updated that. I have photos of the first probably failure, and the rest did the same, but at a much earlier stage and went straight in the trash.

Photos are the day before nutes/water, lookin’ sexy posing in the mist, the day after, looking very not sexy, and how it looks currently in quarantine cause I thought it looked damping-offy. Looking like a handicapped stripper.

What are you running for light? The edge curl makes me wonder if they're digging how much light they're getting.

I'm new to growing also.
Solo cups work really good when plants are that little. I leave mine in solos for like 3 4 weeks. Easy to water

Was running the ac ionboard s22 until throwing it in quarantine, now it’s just under a sunstream 26w grow bulb.

Greetings @Trying2Grow

I'm growing in ProMix HP and currently feeding Mega Crop one part.

With MC or GH Maxi series or AN ph perfect line I usually start feeding by ppm's. At your stage I would be at about 200.

And lights at plant top with 20,000 lux. An inexpensive PPM meter will get you in the ball park and from there you will learn when to increase feed by observation. Generally I use less than the nutrient lines recommendations/feeding schedule.

With the HP I do not adjust ph but I am on well water...

Once you know "what" you have fed you could do a flush to in effect start over, ProMix is excellent for this as it drains really well.

A general guide from google...
Seedling ppms

Cheers
