Ive started using diluted pool shock in my aerocloner and before I add water to the cloner I test the ppm with pool strips. If im mixing a new batch everything is fine but if I add that same amount back 3 days later, chlorine wont even show up on the test strips?

Cal Hypo and Tri Chlor start breaking down in as little as 15 minutes. Might be a good experiment to run test strip daily and track the drop-off so you know how long a mix will still disinfect before you want to re-treat. Not sure how much I trust the inert ingredients to be safe for plants. I'd feel safer with peroxide personally.

I dipped the test strip right after adding back the same dose 3 days later. Id understand if it was some time after but not immediately after
