Do you turn your lights up before harvesting or keep them the same all grow

Do you turn your lights up before harvesting or keep them the same all grow
I actually back them down the week before the last week (or what I think is the last week) maybe 10%, then another 5-10% the last week, let the flower mature, simulate fall, weakening of light

Allright what y’all think? Honest opinions you all see what I run all the time, I post pictures every here I know haha, how’s everyone thinking on plant health as fas as you can tell, I’m really honestly impressed with the living soil, if this keeps up I’m locked in, only thing I’ll change is I’ll add drip irrigation eventually but I’m really suprised they are are doing beyond what I could have imagined with as little work as I need to do

Looking for honest options what can I change, what would be beneficial at this point to improve the grow, soil quality, don’t take offense if I don’t do it or follow though, but I wanna see others ideas!

Pushin P is the latest amendment the girls have gotten that they haven’t had yet, they got it about a week ago and appear to be loving it, the kahunas got it in addition with full recommended dose of craft blend for large plants

BuildASoil "Pushin' P" Phosphorus Blend

BuildASoil's new high Phosphorous blend is a 4-in-1 product designed to be a diverse amendment with a focus on organic sources of Phosphorus.

Organic phosphorus sources are few and this blend is a Game Changer.

As with all organics, less is more, just make sure not to Push to hard.

Features & Benefits

  • 🌾 Premium Organic Rice Bran: Naturally high in Phosphorus and low in heavy metals, rich in carbon.
  • 🐟 Fish Bone Meal: 20% Phosphorus and high calcium content, ensures balanced nutrient levels along with all the trace elements.
  • 🧪 Active 2-20-2: Premium micronized Calcium Phosphate, low in heavy metals, enhanced with organic Non-GMO amino acids for better chelation.
  • 🐛 Black Soldier Fly Insect Frass: High in Phosphorus and biology, delivers essential micronutrients without heavy metal concerns.

Notice: Pushin P is great, but combining the push with the pull is the BuildASoil way. If you want your plants to Pull P then using Rootwise Bio-Phos will be the best combo. Used by the current 2023 World Record Pumpkin grower you are sure to Pull that P.

Combining these all together provides one of the best values for balancing your soil or pushing P because you can now buy 1 amendment and get the benefits of 4 premium ingredients. Increase diversity and lower the chances of buildup from excessive use of single ingredients. This is the best Phosphorus product on the market, and we know you will love it.

Directions For Use:

Amending Soil: Use at 1/2 cup per cubic foot of soil

Topdressing: Use 1-2 Tablespoons for smaller plants and 1/4 Cup for larger plants.

Compost Tea: Use 1/4 cup per 4-5 gallons of water at the start of brewing your tea.

Excellent for seedling soil mixes, flowering plants and fruit trees.

Why Choose Pushin' P?

  • 🔬 Soil testing best practices recommend a 2:1 Phosphorus to Potassium ratio.
  • 🌸 Perfect for transitioning into the flowering phase or amending against a soil test to boost Phosphorus levels.
  • 🌱 P is excellent for rooting and fruiting.

Are you going into flower and want to push P? Are you amending against a soil test and need to push that P? Then the new BuildASoil phosphorus blend, Pushin' P, is for you.

What are the benefits of Phosphorus?

🌱 Energy Transfer: Phosphorus is a key component of ATP (adenosine triphosphate), which is the primary energy carrier in all living organisms. ATP provides the energy needed for various biochemical processes within the plant, including photosynthesis, respiration, and nutrient uptake.

☀️ Photosynthesis and Respiration: Phosphorus is involved in the energy transfer processes that are essential for photosynthesis and respiration. It helps in the formation of energy-rich compounds that are necessary for these metabolic processes.

📜 Nucleic Acids: Phosphorus is a part of the backbone of DNA and RNA molecules, which are vital for genetic information transfer and protein synthesis. This ensures proper cell division and growth.

🧬 Cell Membranes: Phosphorus is a component of phospholipids, which make up the structural framework of cell membranes. This is important for maintaining cell integrity and facilitating nutrient transport.

🌿 Root Development: Adequate phosphorus availability promotes strong and extensive root development. This helps the plant to better absorb water and nutrients from the soil, enhancing overall plant health and productivity.

🌸 Flowering and Fruit Development:Phosphorus is crucial for the reproductive stages of plants. It supports the formation of flowers, seeds, and fruits. Sufficient phosphorus levels can lead to bigger and more abundant flowers, as well as improved fruit and seed production.

Looking great bro! Really liking the structure on those buds. As for the plants, everything has stayed so damn green in the living soil. Filled that tent nicely as well. And like you said it’s really hands off during the grow. The drip irrigation is great, I think the drip tape would be the way to go. I haven’t used it but thinking about switching from the carrot drippers.

I just reamended my bed. Rock dust, craft blend, local sourced compost, worm castings, neem and karanja, gypsum and added some cover seeds and mulched with rice hulls. I Should be planting in 3-4 weeks once sex has been identified on what I have started.

I try! Tons of great people around the farm willing to help others! Great place to chill and learn! Made a lot of good friends here over the years!

Thats a very nice even canopy! 😍 Something Im too lazy to achieve hahaha so Its satisfying when I see you guys do it. I top, put the net, and everything that doesnt get there goes out but nothing beats doing LST prior to toping.
Agreed! I always top at the 5th node (or 6th if bottom looks weak, rest is just weaving under the net and spacing, basically LST with permenant tie downs!

I’m running an old pack of Texas Butter looking for a male and 2 Death Star x Dante’s inferno. Both are from Greenpoint seeds. They are right 3 weeks from germination, up potting today, hit em with a compost tea, (alfalfa, worm castings, recharge and great white) after the transplant.

I struggle the first 2 weeks with getting a lot of growth. All germinate fine but my seedlings never look as nice as others I see in that first 2-3 week stage. I use a 50/50 mix of happy frog and light warrior and no feeding just microbes and water. I don’t think I’m over or under watering them. But once week 3 gets here they seem to take hold and take off. What is your first few weeks process?

Morning folks! How’s it goin! Couple updates!

Gettin frosty 🥶 in this mahfucka!

More coming inly made it to these tents so far 🤣

Been painting a LOT but had to get down to the dungeon a bit this morning

The kahunas are fuckin killing it I could see the canopy was visibly whiter when I opened the tent today, makes sense the okie liniage is lnown for starting heavy frost production on day 38-44 and today just happens to be day 39!

Frostette is 2 days past the end of week 3, stretch should be done, she looks fucking ON POINT for the stretch fill I was wanting, she’s gunna have an insane above net yield, im really impressed with this FC-E4800 its throwin the fuck down at 60% and 24”

If you think that’s not enough it’s an impressive 827PPFD to the canopy atm

This is why I overbuy when I get lights,

4x8 is pulling 1000w split between the lights, the FD6500 is at 65% and the FC-E8000 is at 60% both at 30” from the canopy averaging just under 700ppfd each

In a rush to hook up my neighbor with some plants for spring he will get my Frostette and kahuna 3 mothers I’m doing quick clones bought the riot rooters and the new prop down with extendable lid, the rooters are here so I stuck a few tiny cuts in to see if they take if not I’ll have the new prop dome in 4 more days and I’ll re cut

Picked up a ton more berry plants and they will be going in coast of Maine acid loving plants mix 1/3 + 1/3 COM potting mix + 1/3 plain Canadian spagnhum peat, 4x plants 2x blueberry and 2x goni berry will each get their own 25 gallon pot of all acid loving plants mix, the rest will be goin into the ground in new holes as I get time, I plan to run run them all the way down the fence line, also got 2x kiwi plants, and 4x cherry bushes may do 2x of those cherry bushes in planters along with 2x blueberry, we’ll see

I think it’s just camera angles, nobody’s plants look “great” right at the beginning, we’ll see how these new Ones are when they sprout and we’ll see but it’s a few weeks for sure before they start looking awesome, I normally run from clone which I’ll also be having next to these of my 2 favorite mothers im restarting, but seedlings are just… seedlings which is what the first 2 weeks from sprout is considered anyways before you start technically “ vegative” stage

Your mix sounds fine, for seedlings I’d start with just the light warrior alone without any happy frog, too woody for seedlings, I start within pretty much just pure peat moss with some rice hulls (or perlite) and can use some Gaia green 4-4-4 then start with Alaska fish fert once I up pot them trim a 4 cell pack or shot glass solo or these 3” pots to a 1 gallon pot then I’ll start with more advanced soil mixes
