Yea, last (only) time i drove a jeep fast i almost died. I learned first hand what a death wobble is. I was not warned. It was a stick too, was just 19. Just to get the clutch down my fatass had to practically stand on it too.
Talk about a terrifying surprise merging onto the interstate. Instantly overwhelmed, having no idea what to do or what's even happening. Thing could crawl over near vertical rocks down at wind rock, but couldnt handle a straight line at 60mph lmao. That being said, my 110hp 4 banger kia spectra at the time could go faster. Even once the death wobble was taken care of

It took longer to get there, but wound out on flat interstate on a cool nbight, it had like 25mph on the jeep wound out. Significantly less terrifying to go fast too.
If you get beat in the flats by a kia spectra, you are definitely not what i would call a "fast car" thats for damn sure. Id bet the wrangler would have the spectra in an 8th no problem, would be pretty close at a qtr, the spectra would be pulling off by a half mile tho 100%. (p.s. was a straight 6 jeep not a rubicon)
It'd be pretty hilarious watching either one try and drag a corvette
