Side rant: All the west coast cats working from home for high paying west coast companies thinking 1500 for 3br house on a good sized yard in city limits is a steal though, its destroying our local economies and pricing the locals out of our own neighborhoods, so much so good working people are literally becoming homeless here now if they cant roomie up with someone or move in with family lol. Or just having to accept moving to the cappiest neighborhoods in the area. And i dont mean the hood. Think that show "Justified" + tweekers knocking on your door @3am because they so spun out they think your the local trap.
Thank you sir!Looking healthy mate!
Here it is……There was a Great (great Scott) meme on here for a while that made certain members uncomfortableI don’t remember who it was but they posted objectively anytime someone posted it. Now I must find it and repost it.

This is the only place in California that I’ve lived that doesn’t have space junk on the side of the road. I will agree that California is full of jobs that pay way too much. I even saw McDonalds advertising $22.00 / hr in Bakersfield last week.Just dont come to tennessee, because every one that does finds a reason to move here![]()

Side rant feel free to ignore, its spicey, and directed at no one personally.....: All the west coast cats working from home for high paying west coast companies thinking 1500 for 3br house on a good sized yard in city limits is a steal though, its destroying our local economies and pricing the locals out of our own neighborhoods, so much so good working people are literally becoming homeless here now if they cant roomie up with someone or move in with family lol. Yea, that kinda stuff. Constantly. All the time lmao.
NObody here pays ANYone anywhere near like what west coast companies pay people. A badass job here pays you $17/hr. Thats well above average. You struggle with an $800 monthly rent at that income level, and if you have a car, you simply cant even afford 800/month working full time for any companies here. Managing a burger king pays you as much in california as a good office building or local tech job pays you here. Structural design detailers here average like $28 an hour. Thats why my dad is stuck working out west praying he gets good enough legs in to start remote working so he can come back homer. And now im here with mom helping out. Its 100% because of the influx of high paid, remote working non-locals with zero kids. Its pretty, safe, and cheap here, because those guys WERENT here. But now they are![]()

the Local dont trash up our back roads that tend to be cleaner then even alaska and hawaii, and our parks second only to the pacific northwest either. Thats entirely people from out west (also tweekers and shit liek that) who think we have some kind of parks service being payed by the state government to clean up after them. We dont. This isnt california, we are NOT the 5th largest world economy. Its mainly just a beautiful, super cool place, with super cool and kind (and very poor) people, that take care of their beautiful, super cool place.
(Holy crap, wow, i had no idea how awesome tennessee was! Let's help destroy it!)
Yeah, but a Big Mac Meal is $49.99 there! This is the only place in California that I’ve lived that doesn’t have space junk on the side of the road. I will agree that California is full of jobs that pay way too much. I even saw McDonalds advertising $22.00 / hr in Bakersfield last week.

people are getting remote work tech jobs that pay like 50+ an hour, and then moving straight to tennessee in hoards because a few tiktok and youtube lifestyle influencers several years ago moved to Tennessee because of how cheap and beautiful it was, and how great damn near all the people are. This is the only place in California that I’ve lived that doesn’t have space junk on the side of the road. You would have thought that remote jobs would have helped people. Sounds like that backfired in a horrible way.people are getting remote work tech jobs that pay like 50+ an hour, and then moving straight to tennessee in hoards because a few tiktok and youtube lifestyle influencers several years ago moved to Tennessee because of how cheap and beautiful it was, and how great damn near all the people are.
Flash forward 6 years, our local private economies are crumbling, were all being priced out of rent, our property taxes have tripled, and new condos and aprtments are popping up everywhere marketing directly to people moving from out west, and the majority of the people moving in are shitty, selfish, overpayed, overly aggressive and hostile west coasters that will treat anyone with a southern accent like theyre an inbred hick that dropped out of school in 4th grade. The roads are getting trashy, foods becoming unaffordable, and homeless drug addicts are popping up everywhere, because youd probably be a drug addict to if you were doing everything you could right and still ended up losing everything and homeless because your fellow brother smashed the cool thing you had, that he coveted without understanding.
Same here in New Hampshire, people move here because they want to get away from the city and hustle and bustle of things and inevitably they miss those creature comforts and try to bring them here. But certain things don’t work well in the “Granite State” our social safety net is a joke compared to other states, we commonly refer to the unemployment program as “starvation therapy” public transportation system is practically nonexistent in most towns, and we’ve been steadily pushing out our own working class for favor of retirement communities. The average price of a new home in NH is now over 500k . Our state motto: Live free or die well that’s a joke too. But where else can you watch the sunrise over the ocean, and then head to the mountains and watch the sunset. It’s a beautiful place to live, it’s just really expensive to live here. Some of you guys have kids, i dont, but i haver had long term relationships with women who did, and ive been there for many kids christmases and whatnot.
The people coming to tennessee to live, reminds me of a dynamic we are all quite familiar wirth. You know when youre buying christmasd presents for multiple kids, especially if they share some interests, how you just have to simply accept there will be some squabbles because you just can get every child the same thing, and you cant get them EVERYthing that they want.
The moving to tennessee thing by non locals is, to me, the "grown-up version" of that childhood petty christmas squabble dynamic.
If you dont handle that dynamic well enough, or if you simply accept it to hard internally that there will be squabbles, either extreme... You may just end up seeing one kid picking up and smashing the present of another because it was something he wanted too... And it may happen simply because the second kid opened his first and the other doesnt know he also had one under the tree already because its wrapped in brithly colored paper to hide ther contents, as is tradition.
Smashing something that you want, because someone else has it, and you dont, is something little children do, but you kinda just have to accept this as an outcome, and use it as an opportunity to educate the children involved. But you cant be TOO accepting or nothing will actually be learned by anyone. And you cant be TOO condemming, because that teaches the child to look for loopholes or creaste a pattern of trying (and always failing, just not from their perspective) to outsmart to adult involved.
You guys get what im trying to say here? lmfao![]()

Dude our accents screw us over in job interviews often as much as a criminal conviction screws someone with a west coast or (i mean no offense, theres no other word for it) yankee accent. You would have thought that remote jobs would have helped people. Sounds like that backfired in a horrible way.
