Middle of May seems to be the target date for us. So HARD to wait. LOL
Too hot in michigan? How hot is it there? No fans?

Do you have that tied down how do you not loose it to the wind?

No, no, no, it's not hot here, yet. The greenhouse however gets up to 100 if I don't pay attention and open the windows and door.
Today is challenging, 'cause it's 80 degrees today and super windy. If I leave the door open the windows come crashing down. If I close the door it get too hot.
Hubby installed a couple of muffin fans but they only bring the temp down 5 degrees.

So... I carry the trays in and out EVERY D*MN DAY! LOL

Suggestion ... without seeing the greenhouse I'm not sure its even possible but if it is, install an intake fan and an exhaust fan and connect it through a temperature controller. On an 80 degree day, with the fans moving air through the greenhouse, the interior is only at 85F. On a 90 degree day ... its a bit closer to 100. However without the fans and the temperature controller, my greenhouse temps would be 120-130.

Hubby is an electronic engineer and can make anything. And yes, he did build a controller that I dutifully use, but!
It doesn't do the job, even 'tho, yes sometimes I unplug it when I'm trying to relax on my patio and don't want to hear computer fans at full speed. LOL

Makes a lot of sense! The more ambient outdoor air, you can keep flowing through that greenhouse, the closer you can keep the greenhouse to the temperature of the ambient air! You need fans, powerful enough to keep that air moving through! Can’t let it dally around in there!😍😄

Mine has attic fans that run at full speed. I'm sure its louder than those computer fans. Seriously though, since hubby is an engineer, I'm positive he could come up with a way to upgrade the airflow through the greenhouse. He might even have an innovative way to address the humidity issue that greenhouses have in a Michigan fall.

I hear ya. Today was 80 outside. Green house is wide open; doors and windows, I have a box fan, a desk fan, and about 6 solar fans. It feels okay but my thermometer says 110 😬

Out shuffling some shit before work today. Taking soil piles and putting them together. Figured it would be better to have it all mixed the same.s

anyways I noticed my outdoor autos have some burn on the tips? and a little bit on one of the flower heads, some brown pistils. Which made me think caterpillars but I looked and didn’t see anything crazy? They haven been fed anything, so I’m not sure what it is lol

So, wife wasn’t too on board with the outdoor autos. Thought they were too visible. So let’s kill them!

Pulled 5/8 out of death row and potted them. I do not like this. The bigger three I left. I don’t think any will make it but I enjoy the old fuck around.

worm game is pretty strong though. watered them with great white after. We will see if they’re alive in the morning 💀
Just over a week out from their rude uprooting and relocation. They’re stressed out but given the circumstances they’re great.

These will stay at the new place. I got a solar powered irrigation thing to set up for them. only here once a week really so gotta keep them limping along somehow 🤣

Looks like Manteca is going to bare her teeth next weekend! You and your black pots!😁

I KNOW I don’t know how to paint a fabric pot? considered bleaching them? Too late now lmao
Well, at least you might be there to monitor things on the weekend! Get a taste of what you might be up against!😍

exactly! didn’t really like ripping the autos out but it is a good tester. See what bug are in the neighborhood. Or how nosy my neighbors are.

Learning already, the sun moves thru this backyard weird. I went out around 11am yesterday, they were in full sun. 3pm in the shade. Might be the saving grace.

Also REALLY don’t wanna do a greenhouse but my wife doesn’t want people seeing the weed from the neighboring two stories. Which is fair, being the new guys. I wanna do some real basic pergola with a shade cloth over the whole garden section. Full sun doesn’t mean full son out here 🤣

Alas, all the aspirations, no time money or patience

Interesting! Probably won’t be too much when the temps rise and the humidity drops!

bezo’s express solar watering set up going! Things pretty cool. The lowest setting it can do is five minute drip every 24 hours which feels like too much
Increase time running but decrease amount given during time running. That made sense in my head before I typed that! 🤣 just smoked a big ole bowl too so im lit!

ugh same that’s exactly what I meant 💀

it’s either 12 hours or 24 hours. 5 minutes is the shortest watering time? most shit makes sense to me until it leaves my mouth 😭
