That really coolHello Farmers! I'm getting back to my roots and doing things the hard way again. Circumstances prevent me from growing in the house so the shit show will be in the backyard now. Space and resources are limited so this thread will mostly be about making the best out of a difficult situation.
I have a 4 by 6 resin shed from Costco, a 2 by 4 tent, spider farmer sf-2000 and Cali lightworks uv-b. Two 4" AC infinity fans for intake and exhaust and a small circulation fan to handle air movement. The intake and exhaust are piped directly outside bypassing the shed entirely. I'm going to try to run positive pressure in this setup in an attempt to mitigate the effects of hot air in the tent and help keep critters out.
That's about as far as I've got and will finish assembling it today. Hopefully in a week it will be tuned up and ready for some plants.

Where there’s a will, there’s a way!Tough day in the shed here in NYC. 86° and 40% rh. I don't even wanna know the VPD, it's probably around 2.0 kPa. C'est la vie I guess.
I will continue to ride this out until disaster strikes in the name of "learning"...even though I should know better.

The whole damn city has smelled like weed everywhere you go since we legalized so I'm not as paranoid about attracting attention like I used to be. I didn't even put a carbon filter on this grow.Growing in NYC sure sounds like an adventure, outside that is.
That's the case here in Washington State, except we legalized it a long time ago. I'm wondering if you considered using a small greenhouse instead of an enclosed shed. Is it not legal to grow outside there? The whole damn city has smelled like weed everywhere you go since we legalized so I'm not as paranoid about attracting attention like I used to be. We've come along ways, haven't we? I don't worry about the smells much anymore either. I still run a carbon filter setup indoors, but that doesn't contain all the smell. You can tell when I'm in late flower as soon as you walk through the front door. The whole damn city has smelled like weed everywhere you go since we legalized so I'm not as paranoid about attracting attention like I used to be. It's legal but in my hood I might as well just put up a giant sign that says "STEAL ME!!!"That's the case here in Washington State, except we legalized it a long time ago. I'm wondering if you considered using a small greenhouse instead of an enclosed shed. Is it not legal to grow outside there?

There's at least 5 or 6 different buildings that can see into my backyard. The way I have the shed situated you can't really see inside it when the doors are open and it just feels a lot safer.
I do have security cameras and lights all around the house but tbh all you get are pictures of the people who stole your shit.
Thanks Bear, you and Chucky and TGR gave me the confidence that I could pull it off! Then @TheGoldenRoad went and moved back in the house! Traitor!! LolWell as usual all my peeps are off doing cool shit and i miss the damn thread! Hahaha! Dude this is awesome!
Im kinda a shed enthusiasts myself…
the one thing i wouldn’t do is drain your Dehu (if you get one) out into the under side of the shed. i would get the line to make it to a planter or something. I thought about dumping my line straight into the shed floor (through it) but got concerned about mold. i could easily get a line to make it to a couple berry
great job so far man! love the DIY!![]()
