I've seen a lot of great success getting bigger colas by keeping the canopy more even so on half I am LST and the other half Im not so I can get some first hand experience.
I'm the same as cpurola. Mine don't get bigger than 3'-4' so I just don't touch them. But I have seen people have some success doing it. I'm not one of them. 😂😂

You “west coast”? We’re getting this weather right now! It’s awesome! But still too cool up here in the foot hills at night. I love it dont get me wrong! But my goodness is it kicking my ass in the shed (wont go into detail as this is an outdoor thread) ✌️
I'm in Corona in the Inland Empire. Doesn't get too much better outdoor.

Same here. I see a lot that look sooo much better with an even canopy so I wanted to see if it would help me out since my conditions arent the best. Ill know soon enough it its worth doing in the future!

Experience is a great teacher and experimenting with different methods is necessary to find what works best for you in your climate.
I have many autos started and want to challenge them in different ways. Need to plan it out and keep good records.
(not my strong suit. LOL)

Im using the Jane app and keeping really good records of everything with lots of pictures, so hopefully I'll gain a ton of data that I can look back on to see if what im doing helped, did nothing, or made it worse! This, more than anything, is just for fun. They legalized it in my state and I havent smoked for 20 years, so I thought this would be a fun challenge!

I have good genetics, great soil, great watering (bottom wicking), and a great controller to help me keep an eye on things. I have an air conditioner, industrial dehumidifier, heater, Humidifier, oscillating fans, an intake and exhaust fans, all controlled by my phone so no matter where I am if the weather changes, I can make adjustments to keep things in check. So far its working great! Last night it got down into the low 50's with 100% humidity. The hoop house stayed 72 degrees with 60% humidity all night. I've been patting myself on the back for weeks with how happy I am with a first grow. Its not over yet though!

Broke out, ye olde pot mover! Then up onto the dreaded, table of tears!😁 when they saw it, cries of anguish, abounded! You would’ve thought they were starting the trudge across the Bridge of Sighs!

I've always got them going different ways. Especially my photos. I grow some in containers in the greenhouse and others in the ground and try different things. But that's pretty much what I do with my entire garden.

Yeah! These two are the aphid pots! This one is the thrip pot! And the last two are combo pots with a few mites thrown in!🙄😁🍻
They all kinda live together, very multi cultural. They are to catch flying bugs and yes im also using the different shapes to differentiate the strains lol.

I only put the net out because the rose bush nearby was swarmed with little nasty bugs this morning.

I wasn't making fun of it. Just thought you maybe had some cool little gardening trick you were doing. Or as I figured. Just to differentiate them. 😂😂👍👍
