I grew 9 plants same strain bag seed. I had a freaking purple in the bunch! Hahaha! Unless they’ve been bred way back (i dont know any fancy terms) youre going to get a varying degree of dissimilarities : ) but it could also just be the plant not liking things as much as the other. Out of the plants im talking about not a single one liked the same treatment as the other! It was a pain in my ass! I took clones, becuase why not!? Im running three of those clones now and they are rocking! Ill get three “different kinds” of buds at the end of the

When i was little, my gramps told me you get a cold snap every year between the end of arpil and the beginning of june. And its at a different time every years because the blackberry blooms drop their petals and form the berries at a slightly different time every year. So far this has never shown itself to be wrong in about 25 years of watching it happen.


im well aware that theres def a bilogical mechanism in the plants that responds to the particular weather change, and not the other way around, but its still kinda cool. IIRC grapes are even more dramatic with cold snaps when it comes to heavy, even fruiting of the clusters.

All the older generation calls it blackberry winter here because of that... no matter what stretch of may it happens, its always while the petals are falling and the berries are starting lol. The flushes of blackberries are never as full or even on the springs we dont get the blackberry winter either.


Our cool snap started yesterday, and as of today the petals are falling on all the wild blackberries lmao.
