doubling my set up!!!! which ballast????

nextgen or xtream lighting???

so im about to add 4 more lights to my set up and im not sure which ballast i should get. im going top notch for sure! im getting all my stuff at discount hydro and they offer nextgen digital lights from c.a.p and xtream lighting which ive never heard of but offers a lifetime replacement warranty!! im getting 1000w versions of what ever i decide to get. if you have any first hand info that can help me out, that would be awsome!

turns out they are both made by c.a.p. its just one is digi and the other isnt. the non digi (the xtream) has a lifetime warranty and i cant ignore that fact.
im going with the xtream ballasts! they are even cheaper then the other when it comes to 1000w's. not the case with the smaller lights.

i have all lumatek 600w 120/240v ballasts. a couple of them with the 'super lumens' feature. i had a galaxy 1000w, but i like the lumatek's better. they have 1000w models as well. yields are over a gram a watt, so i can't complain. don't fix what ain't broken, right? g'luck.

i have my lumatek right next to my magnetic sunlight supply dual 600/400 (400's in a different room), and a single sunlight 600. they both out shine my lumateks big time! with the same bulbs my lumtek burn much more red and the sunlights burn more blue or just brighter. i can totally see the difference. even my 2 400's i have in my veg room look brighter! im switchen it up this time!

i run lumateks because the warranty is so good. If I have a problem I bring n the ballast and no questions asked I get a new one off the shelf. If I were you I would see which brand of ballast your local shop has the best relationship with and go with those.

There is no way magnetic ballasts produce more lumens than a digital ones...different spectrum yes, but more light no :)

Been running the Sun Harvest Pro Elites with no issues, they are very cheap and light output with Agro Red's is great. Like $175 for a 1k.....

plus hoods and bulbs.... that totally blows my budget. im investing 6k and im using that cash to load up on supplies for the year also with 5 gal containers of nutes and shit. im tired of not buying bulk, nutes kill me!

Those from the company outta Humboldt? Thats what I've had recommended by several hardcore growers. Thinkin bout those....no issues so far?

i keep flip flopping.... the claim of 30% more light is always good, and claims 1 year on bulbs too. but the other has a lifetime warrenty vs a 5year.
