My girls like smooth jazz. From GPT:

  • Evidence exists that classical, jazz, and soothing soundscapes are often correlated with improved plant growth and resilience.
  • Harsh genres like rock or techno sometimes show neutral or even negative effects.
  • Proposed mechanism involves how plants perceive and respond to physical vibrations, not the music itself.
  • Skeptics remain, pointing to methodological flaws and the possibility that attentive care is the real driver—not music.
Classical music is known to stimulate brainwaves in humans, while cats purring has been proven to have a healing effect on both cats and those exposed to it. Music is nothing more than organized vibrations arranged in a pleasing manner for the listener. Each element of the periodic table of elements has its own unique frequency that it vibrates at on an atomic level. Even deaf people can feel music. All of these things I mention above are things that I’ve learned about watching documentaries and short videos on YouTube.

Yeah, I think it also depends on the volume. In one old experiment from the 70s or so, they used Acid Rock to show that plants prefer classic music. But to me it was obvios that haven the plants right next to the speaker with music BLASTING would stress them over time. I think somebody on here also once mentioned that intense thunderstorms seem to freak the plants out - even when indoors. But yeah I agree that it's all about vibrations, as Mike mentioned. I usually go for something like Roots Reggae, because it seems to have the perfect mood to it.

Have you even seen this btw:

I watched a similar study about plants and their relationship to pollinators and how they send out a signal to the pollinators that changes when an individual is collecting from one flower to another. Basically a busy signal keeps other pollinators from approaching occupied flowers, while an available signal attracts them to open flowers.

I saw a dude on you tube listen to mushrooms! I think we all emit some what of a sound or frequency dont we? Like even rocks and shit?

Not sure about rocks emitting anything. Still if we assume that everything consists of different wave frequencies, it explains how waves like radio, wifi etc. can go through "solid" materials like walls or glass. Altough there is a limit obviously and some materials shield off more than others.

Oh wait... this is becoming too serious. Meme for the rescue:

It’s all about the vibrations:

Dude thats a good tune! Im chilling at the coffee table drinking my coffee making my notes for the day, my little walked up because he heard it : ) got to teach him a little something about the all mighty dollar and what being a good human really means, and how to stay focused on what truly matters in life. He like the tune! And he liked the city life in the video, they boy ain’t never scene the real big city!🤣

Yes, everything vibrates down to the smallest sub atomic particles (String Theory?), with strings (vibrations) zipping in and out of existence. The wise (Eastern teachings) say that the Kosmos (the capital K signifies the "interior" as well as "exterior" dimensions of the cosmos) was sung into existence and that it's only one verse (uni-verse) in an infinite Song. My teachings and personal experiences agree with this.

When doing dmt you can see sounds traveling throughout the soup we call our atmosphere. Shpongle's music is geared especially for psychonauts. It's like being on a wild ass roller coaster inside your mind 🎶 👊😵‍💫🥴🤡

From the Greek:

  • psyche (ψυχή) — "soul" or "mind"
  • nautes (ναύτης) — "sailor" or "navigator"

So, a psychonaut is literally a "sailor of the mind"—someone who navigates inner mental or spiritual realms. (for those that may not know this)

Love it was actually talking about some things just like this last night.

Been watering a lot lately with these guys going in the background! : ) love them!

Let em sit longer before cutting to amber up trichs, imho, grow an indica, and leave it to cure in the jar for 3-6 months before you start smoking on it. A lot of indicas go sleepy more then relaxing and just stoney doing that though. The only plants i know of that are really stoney on a fresh dried harvest are the columbians. And theyre actually sativas lmao.

Back in the day most buds had a lot more age on em by the time you were smoking them, and that actually makes a huge difference. And things like a mild CBD and CBN content have been entirely bred out of most lineages in favor of thc and terpenes alone. THC is a stimulant on its own believe it or not. So are many terpenes.

I can almost promise, with a good bit of confidence, that what you are missing in your flower right now, is *CBN*

Auto grower right?

if you did phots id totally and happily open my columbian vault for ya, but See if you can find a legit columbian gold auto somewhere. Dont pull it til those trichs are golden. Youll probably love it, even though its a sativa, and without having to let it sit for a few months in a jar either. The columbians do some CBn stuff naturally in their chemistry. Some of my favorite plants..... Iv never run, or looked for a columbian gold auto, but i bet theyre out there.

The bad news: Columbians usually wont purple, even if its cold, lol. my banjo x columbian is my first columbian cross ive ever run thats colored up. Its a very relaxing, stoney plant too, even pulled early. Most columbians are, even fresh dried. Even more so if ya let em golden up (which is sooner then ya think on something columbian, they dont call em gold for no reason)

ya know that stoney, lime green, gold tinted, but dank high quality brick weed from back in the day? not the flat brown mexican shit. The lime green buddy brick... That was the columbian stuff. Had those super small, but dark and striped seeds, not the fat brown/beige seeds.

Fresh sativa is an entirely different smoke than sativa that's had an aging cure. I'm gonna guess it's the lack of CBN that makes it that way but when I hit some of my Durban shortly after it's been harvested, it hits like a double espresso served up with an extra side of self-consciousness. 🤯🤣

The only sativas i know of with a stoney CBn content at cut are fully ripened columbian sativas. Even most high test indicas are surprisingly stimulating fresh dried in my experience.

Durban and thai? Fresh dried? I smoke down a full doob of that stuff and im begging for jitters and tension. Coffee is a damn good comparison indeed. Thats why i like the columbians so much though, they smoke with a quality to the high a week or two in jar like a haze thats already been in jar for 6 months, especially if the columbians were grown outdoors. Theyre just not quite as punch you in the face potent as a thai/haze plant usually is.

If you want oldschool stoney buds, real afghan and columbian is your friend, big time. Technically, thats where all stoney cannabis traits we have actually originated anyway. Afghan and columbian.

get rid of the plant asap.

Remember my rants about genetically bound hermies, how they express differently?

Those arent bananas, those are fully formed male flowers, petals and all, from a genetically bound hermaphrodite, that plant has hit the unsalvagable point without lots of pheno hunting and headaches. That plant will make, and release pollen in the same volume a male plant will, and it will be just as viable.

If you let a single one of those flowers open itll likely seed much of your entire tent. That expression of hermie is a grow destroyer, straight up.

Any seeds produced from that pollen will be half female, half genetically bound hermie. They will essentially replace males (or half the females) within the genotype once that happens. Do not consider seeds produced by this plant on another female fem seeds, they aren't. You will be very annoyed if you start growing them because the genetically bound hermies will not make themselves known til 2-3 weeks into flower. But they absolutely will, every time, stress or not.

My sister will be taking a few seeds home to Boston, she dosent smoke but my brother in law loved weed, she was just in my tents for a half hour,

I’ll be giving her one or 2 from you, she has a greenhouse and will be growing a few plants just to have them in her garden where he would have had them, and she plans to give it to his friends that smoke when she chops it

So I’ll see what else she can bring home, sending her home with 30-40 raspberry chutes too

They still haven’t gotten the final report for his death yet, only thing we know is no OD it just passed 60 days and they said they’ll have the report ready between 60-90 days so we should find out soon

She was just showing me video of him playing with the kids on his lap at the dinner table 12 hours before she woke up and found him dead

Im glad it was appreciated by multiple generations of the Bear water tribe 😉
De la Soul is one of those groups in hip hop culture that recognized early on in their careers that their music was going to affect their audience, and they took that responsibility seriously and created some great music over the years. I got to see them perform live in the early 2000’s with Pharoah Monch, Biz Markie, Common, Talib Qwali and Dj HiTek , although Pharoah wasn’t able to perform due to his asthma, damn Im old this show was in the year 2000. Hahaha. Id already been listening to most of these artists since the early 90’s but to get them all together on the same stage was an awesome experience.
Here’s one more classic De la Soul song that captures the essence of these guys perfectly.

Someone posted about this. He was playing classical. Another user posted a study they responded to bass. My nl5 plants danced to punk and rap. Was really cool. I haven’t seen that with my grows since.
