Newby seeking advice on when to harvest

So this start date was Jan 14 when these babies broke ground. These alien cookie crossed with kush mintz are nine weeks into flower. I have them flushing in 400 ec tap water with ph 6.0. on the fourth day of flush. Leaves are changinging color. I'm hoping it's the plant eating up it's stores of energy. I'm thinking of giving it 48 hrs darkness to increase trichromes. Any suggestions? Am I messing them up? Seven days till 10 weeks flower. Pistols have not sucked in. Trichromes clear under microscope.Top of colas still have white hairs where new growth is happening. All hairs orange except tops of three colas. Rest colas tops orange. When to harvest? I like couch lock as well as energetic buzzs. Any suggestions?

Can I ask what medium your using because of the 6.0 ph

There not quite ready yet your looking for them to be cloudy ( milky ) with some about 10-15% amber as you want a couch lock

Ignore the trichs on the leaves they turn amber early you want to inspect the buds

Thank you for your sharing . I'll keep checking. Actually getting excited about these last 5 plants. I was disappointed with the other 5. Poor genetics I believe. My DLI has been at 65 ish for most the grow. I'm not feeding, only tap ec 200 these next couple weeks.. Is it ok to flush plants in clean water with bubble for final two weeks?I pulled them out of 50/50 perlite coco coir and had them on flood table"baby pool" with three 30 min soaks daily. A little messy and hope to develope a more economic system. I'll have them out of water flush after 6 days then no water till harvest.Is this enough flushing?

When pistils are brown and start to curl in thats a good time to check. I dont wait for amber anymore, i chop when theyre milky. I think the more couchy amber is a crock of shit-thats just your flower losing potency. Some never turn.

Going no water is a personal preference
I go longer 10 days but my friend does 7 we are both in soil & organic witch might make a difference.

Some feed right up till the day of harvest so as you can see it’s a personal preference

I can’t really answer as you use coir and different nutrients

Admittedly, some don’t turn.

I don’t enjoy milky it’s to energetic for me it’s really a personal preference
Some enjoy milky some prefer amber

Btw if you can harvest as soon as the lights come on as that’s when it’s at it peak potency for that particular day

You’re close! Best way to tell is by checking the trichomes with a jeweler’s loupe or microscope. If most are cloudy with some amber, you're hitting peak potency. Clear trichomes mean it's still too early, and too much amber means more of a sedative effect. Also, watch the pistils — when around 70–90% have darkened and curled in, that’s usually a good sign. Patience really pays off at this stage — you're almost there!

At this stage, the best thing you can do is check the trichomes with a magnifier. You’re looking for mostly cloudy with some amber for a balanced effect. Clear means it’s still early, and mostly amber means it’ll be more sedating. Also watch the pistils — when most have darkened and curled in, you’re likely getting close. Take your time — the last week or two can make a big difference in quality
