A short clip sample of some of the insane set last night I saw at the Whiskey. I know there's a few of you farmers who are guitarists and you'll probably appreciate his raw talent more than most. Perhaps most insane of all is he does all this on a fucking fretless!

Oh and it was a weird night for sure, that's what I get for not smoking any weed. On the drive home I had to stop in the valley for gas, and the same police pursuit passed me THREE TIMES! Then when I made it over the hill into Ventura County I thought I was catching a glimpse of a rocket being launched from Vandenberg SFB but it was actually the SpaceX Dragon capsule re-entering the atmosphere before touching down off the coast of Oceanside.

See, this is one more reason I smoke weed. The world can be so fucking weird it sometimes takes a few tokes for it to come into focus and become normally abnormal.

I smoked some weed once that was dark green with bright red hairs... When I was a teen, I think it wasn't normal, felt like it was laced with something.

I smoked a bowl with my best bud in high school when we were supposed to be running track. Burned our throats horrible, looked like indoor in retrospect. It made it seem like we were walking at a 45° angle up hill even though the ground was a flat sidewalk. Then we argued for years after about if we saw a cat or a squirrel running up a tree. We were beyond toasted

Nothing better than a Sunday walk in mushrooms on the forest. Or a walk on the forest in mushrooms. You know what I mean but it was lovely. Also there was hundreds of lady slippers blooming. They only bloom for a few weeks and I personally have never seen this many of them. Nice surprise from the mushroom

There seems to be a bit of a hype around landrace strains in Europe currently. It's something that escapes me a bit. Especially when it comes to indoor growing, the hybrids were created for a reason. Perhaps somebody on here can enlighten me or is currently growing some landrace strains.

Some do seem interesting of course...

This one looks like a winner (80s Durban):

If I had alot of space to grow and multiple grow rooms, I would probably grow something like this Positronic Haze 19:

But with restricted space, this would be a pain in the ass. Also because I usually would smoke even more of this kind of stuff which would make it vanish quickly.

I personally am into landrace strains because of nostalgia. I live in a prohibition state, but am literally surrounded by states with recreational cannabis and dispensaries. I don’t shop at the dispensaries based on the highest thc content, but mostly because of the variety and availability of strains that exhibit sativa like characteristics. There is a rampant demand for strains that test high on thc which is mostly due to a general lack of knowledge about cannabis and how it affects people. People who didn’t dare consume the devils lettuce until their government said that it was okay. I have zero respect for these people and liken them to people who don’t consume alcohol until there 21st birthday. Unfortunately these people are driving the market and causing the over hybridization of cannabis, which in my opinion essentially waters down the experience. Some of the best weed I’ve ever smoked out of a dispensary was a 14%thc pre roll of Purple Haze, although it’s not a landrace per se, it’s an old enough well established genetic that it has a personality. I have also smoked plenty of stuff that tested well over 30% thc that was lacking in any personality or unique experience. So I strive to get back to my roots as a 90’s kid who smoked countless ounces of brick weed, mids, and beasters in the pursuit of getting high, all the while having the time of my life. I know that those nameless strains of yesteryear were more than likely landrace strains and they got me higher than any of these new fangled hybrids that flood the market nowadays. So to sum up this long winded rant: NOSTALGIA

The most enjoyable plants ive ever smoked are columbian and afghan land race plants, well grown outdoors under the sun. Plants like kosher kush and the original bubba kushes. The old skunks and pine sativa hybrids.

One thing they all have in common? Theyre all in that 15-20% thc range, they all have an entourage effects of cannabinoids present. They all require a little bit of mindfulness to keep your tolerance managed so you can actually enjoy them for what they are, being the most enjoyable to smoke cannabis genotypes ive personally ever consumed.


A thing (most) the new, super high test THC sativa strains have in common: If you manage your tolerance enough to enjoy the strains i personally like the most, most all the modern high testers are all tense, and full of anxiety and discomfort. Theres very little comfortable effects in those plants if you have low tolerance. To even enjoy most of them at all, i have to keep a daily heavy smoker tolerance. And even then, most make becoming agitated or annoyed easier then just staying sober and 90% of the people smoking them are';t even mindful enough with THC intoxication to even notice they do this at all because they dont even get high anymore. All it really does at that point is affect mood and productivity negatively when you *dont* consume it, and theres nothing even left to enjoy when you do.

And if you try and smoke some oldschool, truly great genetics with a tolerance like that, your tolerance is so high you'll just think its crappy weed that just made you slightly tired.

There are absolutely people who arent going to be fans of the peaceblaster f2 here, because sitting in that 16-20%ish range, theres def several growers here who probably wont even smoke on it after they grow the pure PB's because its not as strong as their other weed regardless of the qualities of the high. Amnd its a rauncvhy, oldschool, skunky, chemmy stank fest. Doesnt taste like a fruit salad or hard candies. It tastes like cannabis. Mark my words lmao. Smoking weed like this is somewhat pointless when you smoke a half dozen finger size bombers a day full of top buds from modern OG kush and cookies or something lol. But then again some of them prob love blue dream too, and for me, blue dream is like smoking air for me. Just buy a nicotine free blueberry ecigg if you want that experience lmfao. I feel like The only reason heavy smokers like blue dream is because nothing gets em stoned anymore so they dont realize its pretty mediocre because it tastes like blueberry pancakes "so it must be dank" or something

I would grow very different plants for a deadhead and oldhead crowd then i would for the gen y/z crowd, thats for damn sure. Ive yet to meet a single one of us that werent on this same page, even if we DID have too high a tolerance at the time.

Ive only had like 2 or 3 plants that id say likely go over that 25% or so thc threshold, that actually had reliably enjoyable highs even with a low tolerance. And thats in my entire growing "career" to boot. More new smokers would enjoy the herb if 9/10 plants werent literally psycho-stimulant messes without a tolerance, and if more seasoned smokers were educated on this.

Without a heavy tolerance something like a peaceblaster and a ghost train haze might as well be different drugs entirely, much as the names definitely imply. They actually share very few effects, even the timeline of come up and come down would be totally different. They are more different from each other then acid is from mescaline.

Gth is always my favorite example, because even with a tolerance, theres very little to enjoy about that one other than shear potency alone.

people wonder where the oldschool strains went, and why the modern ones arent as good, but even if an oldschool great smacked most people upside the forehead, they'd probably just talk shit about it after they smoked it or just be in total denial it was even a real deal. 9/10 of today's smokers that smoked down a doobie of true oaxaca or true columbian mountain land race, would think you ripped them off with some hemp or ditch. i know because ive been accused of such. the 25%+ thc michoacan and columbian golds in the dispos.... those are not true michoacan and columbian land races lol. They hit something modern and high test with the pollen from the land race, then backcrossed a lineage that shared physical traits til they had a stable seed to sell you, and they called it columbian/michoacan gold. And they did that so you wouldnt complain about its potency when you grew it (and because most growers will straight murder a land race plant to a crisp trying to flower it indoors under something as obnoxious as an LED panel/bar)
