That's something ive never tried yet. Lst with the limbs. I have debated doing it but still haven't yet. Might try it eventually on one plant and see how I like it. Usually the only thing I do is just topping.
My first real outdoor run this is what i did. I was so skeptical at the time! “Like no way that shit is going to grow to a huge plant!” Ahahah! Well i was wrong : ) i had two the same strain so i trained them together, I had those plants folded over from a very early start!

I top mine above the 7th node and snip the bottom 2 off just to get them off the ground a bit. This year they have about 40 square ft of space each so the branches will be spread to fill the entire area. Should be a nice canopy come September.

is that pink flower coming off a climbing type plant? or is it a shrub? nice looking backyard! : ) ✌️
It’s a Trumpet Vine.

Ohhh how i love those vines. I planted one it's just a couple years old so far no flowers yet and it's small.
This one was going strong when I bought the place almost 30 years ago and just keeps going. It’s amazing how far it’s gone and needs zero care. But don’t let it get away from you, it’ll take over the house if you let it. This is the front of the garage and it’s planted behind the garage.

I've got mine planted in a old old big kettle with a trellis in the pot and leaned it against my old maple tree so i want it to grow up and thru it. I had a old trumpet vine at my other place and wanted another. It was about 10yrs old.

Do the deer like it? (I know there isn’t much a deer wont eat!) 😆 i dont dont believe what the internet says! you get a hungry deer trying to stay alive and ill bet it eats just about anything : )

Thats an awesome garden!😍

I always amazed of how just a double topping (I’ll do 5th & 3rd node on 2nd) makes for a very round plant with a ton of bud sites. All the lower branches just shot up.

And yeah it doesn’t necessarily keep the plant small. If it's in the ground or big enough bag it’ll still get plenty big - more than you probably want.

I’m in an urban area, so don’t have deer in my yard. (Saw a coyote walking down the street last week. Seemed a little out of his element, but it was trash day 😀.)

It's only been 2 weeks since the corn sprouted and it's touching my knee. Had no idea it grew this fast. Yep definitely popping the cannabis seeds at the same time next year to see which one grows faster.

"Knee high by 4th of July". Haha. Thanks. I started heavy with more than 50 and it's been thinned down to like 12 or 13. Never grown it before so here we go.
