No worries bro, it's all good! Would have been better, if I at least would have based my opinion on personal experience, rather than basing it on some hate on an EU forum. So I apologize for spreading rumors.youre fine, i definitely prefaced the rant with apologies for a reason lol. i definitely dont wanna start a stupid back and forth either.
Most large seedbanks will take on strains from a large number of different breeders. And many commercial breeders supply strains to more then one seedbank too. Many seedbanks like herbies arent even breeders, they just resale large volumes of stored seeds from breeders that work for various other companies. And even go out of their way to make customers think the seed is coming from them not other breeders,
Most european seedbanks do NOT treat broke/low baller purchases from americans the same way they do from Europeans. RQS does. Ive grown plants from them for close to 20 years. i consider them the most reliable modern seedbank i have access to as an american in a low income, prohibition state. Nirvana, barneys, herbies.... they love to steal my money and say customs got it, even though everything i ordered royal queen always showed up. Idc what other peoples experiences are with those companies, thats shitty, and i have zero respect for it.
Royal queens $5 fem seeds like special queen blow away most other flagship seedbanks strains youll be paying like $100 for half a dozen of. it also repeatedly beats out plants almost twice as strong in the cups on flavor and the qualities of its high alone.
Royal queen is also one of the only large worldwide distributed seedbanks around that actually employs their own breeders too. Unlike 9/10 other seed sellers that just buy and resale products from commercial breeders both like my old friend tammy the brought me the psychedelic banjo. She has a few things on royal queen. most knowledgeable breeder ive ever personally talked to as well. One of only a couple commercial breeders i trust at all anymore. Most the constantly popping up "new breeders" with el cheapo square space sites are literally just buying seeds in bulk from sources like royal queen, repackaging them as their own products, and peddling them as if they were actual breeders.
Theres probably 20 different "small private breeders" that will sell you RQS's flagship plant special queen, as any number if different unique strain names, and all for probably about double what RQS sells it for. Ive smoked special queen from two other growers now that were labeled something else from some random new seedbank. Very unique genotype and ive grown and smoked it for close to 20 years.
RQS is an easy target because dont usually even bother to engage in shutting these people up, because its pointless to try on internet land lol. But they also dont care of people "steal" their genetics to work with on their own anyway.
The euro crowd loves to hate on royal queen for offering reg seed true F1s as well. For god only knows why. Ive spent the last half-decade trying to figure that one out, and i still cant. There is no ground to stand on there, at all. Much like claims RQS steals other peoples strains. Growers should be THANKFUL there are still breeders offering reg seed f1's between stable phenotypes. Thats the hallmark of a breeder who actually cares about the genetics of their plants and doesnt mind when people take their genetics to work with for themselves as far as im concerned with it.
I mentioned publicly i was going to order some special queens for a breeding project of my own. RQS popped up *in private*, and sent them to me for free no questions asked just so i could have the genetics to work with for my own projects. And anyone who knows me well at all, knows why thats something i respect the fuck out of. Good luck finding another seedbank that will send you a multi pack of their flagship strain free of charge for the soul purposes of breeding your own plants with it.
RQS is literally the only modern seedbank/breeders left i stand up to even bother defending at all. Speaking from personal experience theyre the only company ive ever worked with in the growing world ive never had a single negative experience with. i cant even say that about guitar companies.
that being said, ive never used the reputable american companies like humboldt, chimera, Bhodi etc because i firmly believe cannabis seeds arent worth what they charge for them, I can get a pound of brandywine tomato seeds with every bit as much backcrossing and stability work on em for $20 at the amish produce stand down the road. I can buy white chinese opium poppy seeds, hundreds upon hundreds for like $5 that have every bit the breeding work on em any modern cannabis does. I can get stable zucchini seeds a private grower has worked on for the last 35 years. A whole pack of like 30 for like $3 at the amish stand lol.
definitely correspond with the banks and breeders you are purchasing from, and yea, you def get a feel for how real the company is on the ground level, person to person when you do that. The company those reps work for are what dictate their freedoms when dealing directly with customers. No worries bro, it's all good! Would have been better, if I at least would have based my opinion on personal experience, rather than basing it on some hate on an EU forum. So I apologize for spreading rumors.
There are still some good companies out there, that's for sure. I had a similiar case with another company where I just asked the guy from the support, what he thinks about a certain strain. He told me his personal experience and offered me to send me free seeds. I was not sure what to think about it but they really did send me 10 seeds for free, even with stickers and papers as if it would have been a regular purchase. I don't think it's what they normally do, but we got along fine and shared some fun memories in our email exchanges.
I also like the fact that RQS noticed my posts and responed here themselves. So I will not write them off. You also showed alot of great plants when I first came here last autumn, so I know you're not talking out of your ass and you're a decent grower.

Oh I have my 32” Weber charcoal out bash, she’s in rough shape, 10th summer! She needs to be replaced soon lolI'm oldschool I prefer my classic Weber kettle, and charcoal>propane any day imho. I love Hank Hill but sorry charcoal grilled food tastes far superior to propane or any other grill method!
In fact, I'd venture to bet that I could open my own burger joint based on charcoal grilled burgers and give Five Guys or In-N-Out a run for their money!
Gotta say our health changed a lot once we made the full switch we even found stuff like healthy alternatives to Oreos etc that the kids love no chemicals, we don’t even monitor sugar or sodium etc just chemicals and dyes my wife eats a small steak and makes a small fillet of haddock with it every day at noon. She Eats again at 4pm then that’s it for the day just tea and drinks etc the rest of the day.View attachment 2441069
you guys arent fat or diabetic because you're eating actual food unlike most americans. When i switched over to actual food i lost like 75 pounds in 2 years. All the prediabetic symtoms went away, and i eat moms homemade sweets all the time. I have a nice cold coke every now and then when i feel like it too. but theres also a store on every corner in TN that sells actual coke in a mexican bottle too lol. You know who drinks like a gallon of coke a day and arent fat? Mexican dudes and cuban dudes. Unless theyre in the united states.
im getting fat again though, because i rediscovered my childhood love of tuna helper, ramen, and reese's cups.
They get stuck in my driveway at least 10 times a year same moron every time tootheres am amazon driver stuck like 50 feet down a 45% grade in the side yard right now just cheweing up the yard and making it worse.
Im smoking a doobie before i go tell him what a fucking idiot he is, then try and help him not loose his job since amazon's about to remodel part of the yard for us.

I appreciate the way royal queen carries themselves, and how they interact directly with their customers a lot.
i currently have zero affiliation or sponsorship with them either.
And yea, one of their cheapest strains has been one of my favorite smokes for a long time, and still is. Its kinda funny watching new growers ordering the cheapest seeds they can find react to their special queen lol. Its still one of the best plants ive ever grown 15 years later. They sell that one for like $5 a seed lol.
As a broke american in the mid 2000s buying from herbies, it was hard for me to even get the advertised "free seeds" in packages sometimes unless i went well beyond the minimum for the free seed.
I ordered a single special queen#1 1-pack when i was like 16. i payed way more for shipping then i did the seed and i sent cash because i had to. RQS put like 4 strains in there for me, and they were all 3 packs. Now im not saying to expect something like that, but someone packaging the order, felt bad thats all i could afford and had to send cash for it, but RQS gave that employee enough freedom to get away with shoving a bunch of extras in just because. Thats cool as fuck
Im definitely NOT saying RQS is the only euro seed company like that at all, just the only one that operates like that ive personally worked with. Especially back during that stretch of time where all americans had to mail cash to get european seeds, while american seeds would cost a literal fortune for unstable pollen chucked guesswork and no legal US breeders would mail to prohibition anyway states lmao. (its better now a days though from what i understand) it was really easy to rip off low-spending americans back then, and most companies would without hesitation at the time.
hes not in my driveway man, hes like 50 foot from it into the side yard on a 45 degree slope of wet tall grass wedged up against an apple tree. They get stuck in my driveway at least 10 times a year same moron every time too![]()
They were resurfacing my street. Guy parks right in of the no parking sign, drops off package, proceeds to drive over the temp no parking signThey get stuck in my driveway at least 10 times a year same moron every time too![]()
I think you got the perfect setup. I was literally saying to my girl the other day when she asked me about getting a blackstone. I’d like to have that for quicker stuff and then the Weber charcoal I have now for when I feel like it hahaOh I have my 32” Weber charcoal out bash, she’s in rough shape, 10th summer! She needs to be replaced soon lol
I’ll cook in charcoal anyday I can!
