I thought I liked birds once. The first bird I got was an African Ringneck that was out for blood and blood only. After having Sadie, I truly believe that demons can possess things. Try #2 was a pair of little green and yellow birds that went off like a car alarm from the moment I got them until the moment they moved on. No more birds for me.

My mom had this blue and gold macaw when I was growing up…..

He’s currently rolling with the punches in the boxing ring of life and is still on his feet waiting for the bell to ring. Oh I have my 32” Weber charcoal out bash, she’s in rough shape, 10th summer! She needs to be replaced soon lol

I’ll cook in charcoal anyday I can!

Mine is what I call a family heirloom it's literally older than I am it's my dad's old Weber. A bit dilapidated as the legs have completely disintegrated, all that's left is the kettle itself with the lid and grills. I have it propped up on some cinder blocks but hey, if this grill could talk! You can't buy a grill like this.

Maybe I'll try to find some replacement legs for it, someday, but you know some things are just fine the way they are, even if they're not shiny new and perfect!

Yeah we all have been wondering about that clown, one of the reasons why I think the trainwreck thread is the best example of social media going right now. We all have a sense of community and belonging here and in most cases genuinely give a shit about each other. Can’t think of any other social media platform that I’ve ever been on where that was the case.

I was getting vertigo looking at the seedling... I swear I looked like it started with three cotyledons and then threw three leaves. It's just a non-serrated on one side, but what a mind fuck, lol.

Hope you folks all had a good Memorial Day. I'm not too far from the Reagan Library and there's a group of North American T-6 Texans that usually come over from Van Nuys Airport and do flyover on the major patriotic holidays. They buzzed around the area for a good half hour.

Later did some grilling. Those bacon wrapped jalapeños are stuffed with brisket and cream cheese.

Things in the canna garden are looking good. Pay no attention to the unhappy bitch in the back, had to do some fixes on her bottom half and she's gonna look unhappy for another week or so. The tomato garden on the other hand... Falling a little behind.

My line of work in the "tax exempt" realm I do a lot of events and one time I had a super crazy event chair who was always pushing the envelope. One event he had me hire a couple midget entertainers to hand out drink tickets and work the room because he wanted to go with the theme, It's the little things that matter." Nothing but love man. I'm very sorry to hear that. I can't even imagine how I'd react to that kind of thing. No idea.

I'm really bad at cheering people up and offering condolences and tend to just try and go the "cheer them up with memes" route.
