Smart boy! She will light into you like nobody’s business!I’m sure they’re just perfect Gal! : )
I missed this before I posted my other reply. Like I said! I’m sure they’re just perfect! Here's my little gals. Rather small compaired to Bears sheesh man those are mega. Good thing we have long growing season here. There's clones i made in the small pots and seeds in the tall pots. RS-ll x Okie and Gelato 33 x Okie plus a few Apples & Bannans x Okie LOL. Getting my fruit filled summerMine will be going into those old plastic pots again. I'm still adding compost to them. Plants are sitting under my patio for now in transition to full sun in 10days. I'll move the pots to there area then. Yes i know lots of folks hate the black plastic but they are far easier for me to move if i need to get them outta of the fall rains ( I don't wanna think about that for at least 4+months.
Thanks cpurola that's right i just want smaller plants and i think i'm gonna top all of them this season. I don't think i did any last year? Good luck with yours and for your sake i hope you don't get the freakin PD ( plant disease } this go round. You showed us last year, the 15 gallons work great! And the plastic vs. fabric is personal preference as far as I can tell.
Yours look great! And since you don't want monster plants, starting later should work.
Hope it works for me too. LOL
Damn straight us old gals don't take much sheetSmart boy! She will light into you like nobody’s business!![]()
That had to suck. Please don't feel bad looking at mine. Last year I had a wonderful grow until the diseases took them ALL out.
There was verticillium in the 12 grow boxes and Septoria took the rest. I harvested nothing.
Maybe I'm overcompensating this year... ya think? LOL
Wait, I did have a few Autos survive.
Yep, sure did. That had to suck.
Adapt and overcome!Yep, sure did.
Hubby had built raised beds for me and filled them with the local landscaping company's 'super soil'.
Our Spring was wet and the Verticillium took over. Plants outgrew it until flower, then, it destroyed them.
Septoria blossomed in the hedgerow next to the plants and rained down on them all.
I have/will take steps to stop it, but I do have Autos in reserve.
For me, Autos are for medicine, Photos are for fun.![]()
Dude thats an awesome start! That thing is going to be freaking dope when you get it done! Finally got a start on my cover today. Still a ways to go but feels good to get it started. Will be adding a slanted roof and covering with plastic. Eventually will put plastic panels on the outside, but probably not this year.
I appreciate it bro! Been wanting to do this for like two years now.Dude thats an awesome start! That thing is going to be freaking dope when you get it done!
I think it’s the perfect amount of board. No you didn’t go overboard, no not at all!

That's what I want. Short bushy plants. And I'm gonna use that trellis netting so the branches don't break off.Topping plants doesn't usually make them "smaller". It makes them shorter and bushier (wider) instead of being tall, skinny stick plants. I've topped 2 of 5 plants this year and the 2 bushiest plants never got topped.
An option is taking off top leaves that are hiding more stems. Just taking the top leaves off gives a short bushy plant with the used to be hidden stems growing more. Look for possible bud sites under leaves to figure out if taking big leaves off the top of the plant is a better solution than topping. Taking the leaves off the top has to happen before the plants develop too much though. Timing is important. The 2 plants in the pic below were never topped.

How do you support them when they get bigger?
OK i used the wrong term " shorter an wider" is what i want. So I'm topping. Then i'll prune themTopping plants doesn't usually make them "smaller". Love your starter pots. How do you start the littles? Paper towel, soaking, just place in potting mix?View attachment 2444626View attachment 2444627View attachment 2444628View attachment 24446293 weeks old. Couple of more weeks they get shipped out to their new homes. I’ll send samples out for my regular seeds then, to check sex.
Plastic plates, paper towels soaked with water. Soon as tadpole tails form into the pots. My shop is on a farm, I get my pots from them. They have a lot of green houses. Almost everyone I give plants to grow in the ground.Love your starter pots. How do you start the littles? Paper towel, soaking, just place in potting mix?
I did! Thanks Oldchucky yeah it's gonna be frequent waterings for me nothing new. Drilled more holes in the pots yesterday. Thought about getting those 10gal fabric but never pulled the trigger as usual. These are 15gal.
