if the mango nectar is indeed half original jack, the original jack was a combination of the original NL plants that created the OG's and the bubbas, and potent land race origin sativas into a single lineage iirc. The ozark grower (friend of mine, the one eyed deahead dude i mention occasionally) left the genotype pollen chuck itself for like 30 years season after season in the ozarks. A cooler environment than youd typically grow sativa doms and a cooler, shorter grow season then cali where he hailed from originally, and over the years they got shorter, and wider, with earthier terp expressions as he kept seeds from the plants that did best yadda yadda.


I wonder if that oldschool NL in the haymeadow purps and jack both (which was likely steered toward expression in the ozarks with mango nectar's genotype) actually means this wasnt a true F1, and is semi stable in the direction of olschool kush/NL/Bubba/OG



this actually seems quite plausible to me. im thinking maybe that unexpected kush expression on very first pop, is actually lending credibility to the old mans claims about his seeds. When i popped the first gen i had, it simply did not compute how that plant was supposedly from a semi-feral jack/big bud pollen-chucked genotype. But now i think im thinking maybe it really was and really had just been slowly steered in the NL/Kush direction by the ozark's weather..

Nature vs nurture lol makes sense though.

Trying for years now to get my girlfriend to stop buy pre rolls. Bought her, her own wak it, and a raw six shooter, and constantly am giving her fresh flower, but she just loves them pre rolls.

The dispensary just takes everything that fell off during trimming. So primarily it’s sugar leaves and the sugar dust that comes off and its multiple strains maybe some hairs from the flower will be included.

Suggestion is to roll a few for her.

she has some excessive transpiration going on from a micrclimate up close to the light probably, and/or light burn going on from not being fed heavily enough for her size and growth rate/ppfd exposure wich is probably combining with the transpiration issues to look like a single problem when it actually isnt. imho.


Guesses, but educated guesses nonetheless. That plants mom is my heaviest feeding fastest growing inbred plant, and if she gets some transpiration issues going close to the light it can cascade a bit into a few other issues that correspond. When that happens though the light burn isnt because shes too close to the light either, counter intuitively, its because the mopisture uis evaporating from her leaves before it can deliver nutrients to replace the light bleached chlorophyll as fast as its being bleached. Which causes light burn, but its not because the light is too close with her, etc. If the transpiration and nutrient delivery is resolved, the light burn will go away without backing off the light. Rama is dealing with the same on his PB4 clone rn.

The humidity swings high after lights off. I haven’t fed any of them. Going into flower I have burnt tips on some of them. The pb2 just started a tip. She’s 5 gallon

Whether or not you're mixing up bottled nutrients or you're just giving water into a soil that you've mixed from organic ingredients the plants are being fed or they wouldn't be growing

And in either context calling the plan to heavy feeder is the only way to say that

Fwiw, consuming organic foods doesn't mean that you're not consuming food for being fed, and that applies to a plant too lol.

There's been several times I've told you exactly what's going on with your plants and you've just continued on with a giant question mark about em.

Special Queen is the easiest plant to grow that I have you just have to give her a lot more food than another plant. In your contacts that means give her like twice the soil mass at minimum that you're giving a similar size plant of another lineage.

She's one of the hardest to light burn plants that I have too and one of the most tolerant of high humidities.

It's a plant that I've been familiar with for over a decade and I'm telling you exactly what is going on with that plant right now.

It's not a guess, and It never has been since you first popped that seed lol. Every time it's come up I've told you exactly what your problem is with that plant lol. Genuinely.

And I'm not being a dick this is just like the fifth time I've told you exactly what your issue was and how to resolve it and you've basically just told me "nope" every time and continued on with a plant that hasn't for a second look like it was totally thriving.

I can totally stop representing them as suggestions and just let you know exactly what's wrong with your plant and how to fix it like I am now but most people just act like you're being an asshole when you do something like that because they think you're calling them an idiot or attacking them or something instead of giving them useful information (which I am now prepared to receive as a response to this very logical and reasonable message lol)

my point is thats only because the younger generation doesn't believe anything on principle alone anymore. If they did, it wouldn't be legal at all either way at any time beause stoners wouldnt stand for the bastardization and destruction of the plant and its culture from the ground up. The younger generation considers cannabis a commodoty, NOT a culture, and thats unfortunate in my opinion. And the only reason legalization is moving forward at all. its guised corporate autocracy 100%.

And would have happened a lot sooner if all the old stoners gave up everything they stood for like the younger stoner generation did before they even hit adult hood.

its only legalizing slowly, genuinely, because the stoners no longer fight tyranny, oppressions, and corporate autocracy, they actually pay for it directly now.

medical cannabis is 30 years old just about lol. Medical cannabis starting is closer in time to the summer of love than it is in time to right now. (Seriously lol, sorry to make people feel old) Go back 30 years before medical cannabis started, and most people had never even seen cannabis flower until their newly arrived hippie buddy magically showed up out of a bus at the grateful dead parking lot downtown one day lmfao.. Pink floyd hadnt even formed yet lol. There wasnt even a Ford Mustang yet.

however, touche, i forget how old the boomers are now lmao. My parents arent even boomers. My parent's parents were the boomers. What i spoke of earlier is definitely more of a tendency of my parents generation not the boomers.

4:12pm and the sun's just poking out. I've changed my entire garden this year to pots of coco coir and I added pallets

and shower doors

to protect the plants from gophers. They'll eat right through the bottom of the pots and are attracted to the moisture.

Moved the broccoli and Brussels sprouts to a raised box

Flipped GDP #3 & 4

#5 & 6

4 1/2 weeks since flip are stacking nicely. Should be done by the end of June.

Smoked 5 jays today and gonna fire up Da Buddha

My grandmother had an abusive alcoholic husband, was so bad i just call that man her ex husband now, not my grandfather, and she herself was a heavy drinker too, but a pothead son and daughter. By the time dad was out of highschool my grandmother, who doesnt like getting high on THC, was an avid supporter of legalization. Shes convinced without it my dad and aunt would have been alcoholics like her and her ex husband


EDIT: backstory, my dad got caught by his mom when he was 14 with a joint, and she called the cops on him thinking she was doing the right thing (prob with a skotch in her hand doing it too), and its a whole long story how that all ended up the way it did, she almost lost my dad for good over it too. Was early 80s michigan. Some of the worst pot laws this country has ever seen. People got sentenced to multiple hundreds of years consecutive sentences for single ounces at this time in michigan. Some only just recently were released too. People with their only earhtly legal charge being "simple possession of over 1 ounce of dried marijuana with intent to consume"

They were very lucky they were a wealthy white family with ties to british government. Otherwise my dad would have been gone for good til 19yo.

I am glad to hear she came around and I completely agree. Weed is only a gateway drug if you have to buy it on the street and get exposed to other drugs. It honestly saves lives everyday from starting or continuing addiction

the message right before that one which you replied to by saying you dont feed your plants, the message where i explained what was going on with the plant lol. is was a response to you posting about not knowing what it was.


btw, yes, you do feed your plants, if you didnt, you wouldnt have plants lol. The stuff you give your girls is more arguably "actual food" than anything a salt fed grower gives their plants.


if i say to feed more, and you say "i dont feed my plants" its because there is a deep set, and fundamental misunderstanding happening on your end right now.
