Both are purple Alaskan autos from seedsman and I’m wondering is this the start of the fade signaling the end is near? Both are 9 weeks and will be 10 weeks this Friday. How far are they from harvest? Just a couple days ago, the top sites were yellowing like this and I turned the light down and some of the green in the leaves visibly came back, now it’s back to yellow. Is the only the top that looks like this and the bottom is still green, so it can’t be nitrogen deficiency. Temps are around 75-78 and humidity around 45

This far in, your senescence is moving into "autumn". There is no such thing as fade.

Without a magnifying camera trichome shot, you're soliciting for an an unanswerable response.

Invest twenty bucks in a bluetooth compatible magnifying camera and here is a trichome link:
https://www.treehuggercontainers.com/blog/cannabis-trichomes-all-you-need-to-know
If you have an iPhone/better android as well you can just take a shot in macro mode and zoom in to check the trichomes. But yeah no way to tell on pics alone how long they have to go. But by the amount of white hairs I’d say still a while. A lot of autos will say 9-10 weeks from seed to harvest but not very realistic unless you want half formed underpowered buds. Times given by breeders are a guide at best. The trichomes are the most accurate way to check for ripeness.

There’s no reason to check the trichomes yet when there are still a lot of white hairs .. u still have a way to go ur doing fine… wha nutrients are u using

I have a jewelers loupe but all my pistils are still white and barely any orange so I didn’t even bother to check trichomes yet. I’m using general hydroponics. The 10 part lineup, im kind of freestyling the boosters and additives, 1-2 ml here and there because I don’t want to do too much with it being a autoflower

So this is normal? I thought if there was no green, then no photosynthesis.
Yes, Senescence in marijuana refers to the natural process where lower leaves start to yellow and brown towards the end of the flowering stage. It indicates that the plant is diverting nutrients from older leaves to the developing buds. (Cannibalize itself)

Think of how the environment changes with each season. Same thing indoors, stages of growth are like seasons. As you move into flower, your plants begin to enter autumn (Fall) and ripen by the start of your winter season. No matter what time of the year you cultivate indoors, your seasons (stages of growth) remain the same.

Germination/Veg = spring summer; Flower = late summer/autumn; Harvest = late autumn/early winter)

When u use the liquid nutrients use half the recommended amount… if it call for 1tbl/ gallon use 1/2 tbl ect ur fine.. im growing autos this time around to but i just use giga green.. if u haven’t checked that out check it out pretty good stuff

This only my second run and I thought that initially since they aren’t photos and the following week I started the half dose, I started to see yellowing leaves at the bottom. I was using the Lucas formula at first, now I’m using the medium feed for gh and they seem to be ok with it. Slight nute burn, the rest is from the new light I got and not knowing the capabilities of said light.

So do I also turn my light down around this time as well? I had it at 45%, now it’s at 40% because I thought they were yellowing the tops. I’m going to put it back on 45 since this is supposed to happen

Autos really just do their own thing u can run them 100% 24 hrs a day if u want they don’t care… just make sure ur lights are 18-24 inches away from the top and make sure ur temp stays around 75-85
