im baked, but i feel like this would be a WAY better way to do a weed competition. It actually makes sense. You cvould have a best as per the judges smoking experience, a highest THC category, a "most terpene expression" category.

Could throw shit in a centrifuge in a lab, and see how clean it is etc.

Growers would actually be competing with each other, not making plants duke it out like it's a pedigree dog show with all the winks and nudges behind the scenes.

make sure to use distilled or RO water not tap, or youll have some goo trying to grow from the dissolved solids eventually lol. Gets real bitchy if it gets into the atomizer nozzles. If you have well water thats even worse than tap.

and heads up ive seen gel cause goo blooms too (i assume its fungi or bacterial blooms) so ya may wanna throw like half a cap of peroxide in there every few days to avoid any goo. Fwiw you dont need to use rooting hormone in bubble or aero cloners, but it will speed things up a bit. I dont like using it when ive used one though because goo.

Goo is a fun word. I could call it mucilage, that's the proper term, but thats not a fun word.

dude a chinese cultivar of asian longhorn ticks has been spreading from the northeast since like 2016.

They reproduce asexually repeatedly, without males, as long as environmental conditions are right. (kinda has scientists scratching their head too)

in some places out here, you can find like 50 per blade of grass in the meadows. Thats not an exaggeration either. And theyre TINY, smaller then a dear tick, hold on twice as hard, and authorities say they arent carrying lime or chagas or anything yet anyway. But they have the gnarliest pussiest tick bite iv ever had. Takes literally over a month to heal.

They reproduce so fast they all stay starving, and make more the second they eat, and theyll swarm your legs, hundreds at a time if you get into a pocket of em.


Did i mention theyre fast, like an ant? No? Yea, theyre super fast too btw. not clumsy like a normal tick at all. They move quick. As small or smaller then a pinhead.

i think theyre engineered with that crispr gene splicing shit personally. By china. And released directly from container ships in our own ports. They conveniently started spreading from NY and NJ Atlantic ports. Pandemic was prob just them studying the spread of viral disease and taking notes too.

I have contacts with people that do a pheno cup so everyone starts with a 12 pack of regular seeds and gets six months to pick their favorite pheno out of the females and enter the finished product for a festival wide judging, basically if you pay for the ticket your casting a ballot and sampling all the entries. I think that’s the run down but I never went to the festival. I did get a couple packs of the entry strain and the year prior. One was Cherry x2 step, and the other was ninja cookies. I gave @Captspaulding a few of each to try out I don’t think he’s popped them yet I haven’t run either myself yet.
But yeah clone cup is awesome idea, then it’s totally reflective of growers style inputs environment and technique. It’d be awesome to see people bring the heat and create some fire , and then all hang out and smoke it all together.

Oh dude, how bout the winning phenotype gets handed back to all the growers, and then my rules kick in lmao. Obviously with the initial winning grower having a leg up, but all the other growers get their second chance at redemption or some shit.

however literally every single Hops strain tested in the united states is 1-3% thc.

There are actually some hops strains that can be as thc potent as the average cannabis in the 1960s (3% thc), and it would probably only take a handful of decades of hardcore breed work to make hops potent enough to get someone with a decent tolerance stoned when they smoked it.

Then do it propagated from a tissue culture. It's the future sir. Disease transmission isn't actually hard to get around as long as you consider it's possibility lol.

they used tissue culture at overgro KC to prevent giving anyone diseases. Its how they bring back the same F1 clones when they come back in and out of style now a days too. Its how i got the original clone only gg4 commercial cut when i started the peaceblaster thing.

Ease of accessing tissue culture, and the fact Todd shows off the haze and not the skunk #1 when he does podcasts, has me still unwilling to buy anyone's skunk #1 even his lol. If the phenotype was found again, he wouldnt be hitting the podcasts with the original Haze, thats for sure lol. He'd corner half the cannabis market overnight. It would be big news. No one for sure has even smelled that terpene/thiol in cannabis in at least 15 years now lol. Hasnt shown up on any centrifuge repots, or testing, or nothing. Its a very specific thiol, its the same one you find in skunk spray and shit lol. It has a molecular structure similar to DMT and serotonin too, some theories even suspect thats why the original skunk had so many "spiritual experience" claims behind it.

i think its in PB3 though, not a lot, but i think its there. She has this crazy, acrid, nasty gross smell, but in an amazing way. Musty, acrid, and nasty. If it were like 10x more intense though, id be calling her all kinds of skunked up. I want to make an S1 with her and see if i can bring out any intense recessive traits she may have active.
