I'm reluctant to try the paper 🗞️ towel method, isn't there risk of hurting the Taproot?🌱

1. Between 48h up to a week, but i like them being ready for transplant after 72H just giving a chance to the weaker one.
2. no
3. paper towel
4. from 22°C to 28°C most of the year (also sometime germinated some seeds with higher temp in summer) from 20% to 80% rh
5. no
6. preferably tap root bottom, but that could vary a little with some twisted tap root.
7.not really

48 hours soaking in water?
Really?

I've been many guides say not to go over 24 hours as you can essentially drown. Them?

Or did you mean within the warm wet paper towel?

I saw this video on germinating 20 year old seeds.

Was curious what the wetting agents do and the aloe vera and coconut water.

I'm looking to improve my germination rates.

Also scuffing seeds, does it help get water into the seed?

not soaking them in in a glass of water directly between 3 layer of paper towel, also used some cotton pad you use to remove make up but i have overwatered a few seeds with them.
I'm looking to improve my germination rates.

source your seeds from a renowed breeder, do not store them for age before germinating them and do not overwater them and you should get 80% 90% germination rate

sorry to say this again but scuffing wetting agent all that is you again on the path of overmothering while failing with the basic

well may be for really old seeds ...

also scuffing is not without risk of damaging the seeds ...

i avoid storing my seeds my seeds for too long in ambient environnemental condition i try to buy just what i need and will germinate rather soon. (1 year max ) i try to catch spring sales and black friday for my orders.
