Hey everyone,

I'm in week 6 of flower and wondering if it's still okay to do some light defoliation. Just thinking about removing some fan leaves that are blocking light and airflow to the lower buds.

Is it too late at this stage, or still safe if done carefully?
This is a photoperiod Power Plant from Dutch Passion.

Appreciate any insights — thanks!

I would try to seperate the branches being careful not to split the plant or tuck leaves before i removed any. The top buds will be your biggest and best. The short ones will be popcorn and larf.
This is where the buds start bulking up.
Is your plant light green?

Yeah, she's light green

Looks like she needs some N. Even when they’re in flower they still need small amounts to upkeep things. If you’re feeding it appropriately then possibly a lockout issue would look into your ph/ec/ppm etc and ensure it’s taking what you’re giving it and there’s not a salt buildup issue(if using salt based ferts). Either way it shouldn’t be draining its leaf reserves in week 6. Defoliating is only going to take away anything it does have to feed on at that point. Defoliation should only be done on a healthy plant and only in flower when it’s to help with airflow or light penetration and even then should be done sparingly. I lollipopped in flower and regretted it even though my plants were healthy. You need to time things and not stress the plants. Being as she’s deficient she’s already stressed and defoliating will make it worse. For better understand and for people to accurately help you you need to include more information such as medium, nutrients/feed schedule, lighting, etc. anything and everything related to the grow will help determine issues/correcrions/etc. If it seems like too much info? It’s probably not enough.

I believe they are over watered , bit too droopy for me , i like my leaves at least horizontal , and i believe, long term overwatering stops the uptake of N which is why they are yellowish, bright green . page 22 of this paper is all about leaves changing colour , and there are articles about soil v coco and supercropping and lst.
