A passel of bucks!๐ŸฆŒ awaiting their fate! And the rest are starting to show! Including a few nice females that just might get their own pot! If theyโ€™re good girls!๐Ÿ˜๐ŸปView attachment 2456600View attachment 2456602
Looks great, chuck!!! Iโ€™ve had those deer cause MANY stressful times on guerilla grows and do exactly what you do. I also go to Canadian tire and get powdered coyote piss and mix it up and spray it around the perimeter of my spot and in between the plants. Never saw anything let alone deer near them again. I was using chicken wire and the hungry SOBs jumped em. I graduated to big wire fencing like yours and all was swell from then on in the woods of northern Vancouver island (where I was growing at the time)

No deer here but I got this guy taking care of the little bunnies for me.

They donโ€™t seem inclined to jump over 5 foot fence! Iโ€™m kind of surprised! But I havenโ€™t had any problems with them either!๐Ÿ‘ itโ€™s pretty easy to throw up once you pound in a few stakes and unroll some wire!! we had some feral pigs around here for a while! They didnโ€™t mess with them either! They walked right past them to go wallow in the pond every night! They couldโ€™ve made mincemeat out of that whole set up without even blinking!

Iโ€™ve personally seen the devastation of 6 hungry deer on basically a valley of just out of seedling stage. A lawn mower No joke.

Deer will be Deer! Somebody throws a feast in front of them. I donโ€™t think theyโ€™ll turn it down! These dainty little critters, donโ€™t turn down entire yards and fields! But they used to walk past my plants and never bothered anything!

Those things are bull dozers with tusks and bad attitudes! Deer โ€œnormallyโ€ arenโ€™t fond of bud, but they like the leaves. Only thing I ever found to work well with deer was light test (4-6 lb) monofilament line laid in coils around the plants. They donโ€™t see it but feel it, which scares them. Use light line you donโ€™t really want to hurt them. Had a good friend who lost several plants to pack rats, he followed the trail of leaves, and found all the stems stuffed into a pack rat mound!

Yeah, back in the day lost more plants to rats and mice than all the other reasons combined! Itโ€™s not even close!

It seems to make them a little more appreciative when they do make the cut! Survival of the fittest! If they perform in the small pot, then they get promoted! No nepotism or Mollycoddling in these parts!๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ’ 95ยฐ and 15% humidity!๐Ÿ˜ perfect for plants and naps! I think Iโ€™ll sneak one in! Ha ha
15% humidity? Geeze it was 87% / 87 f yesterday here in the south east

Yeah, the low humidity is what makes life tolerable here! There is something to that dry heat claim! Lol! Evaporation is what keeps us cool, the pots , cool, and the plants relatively happy! I feel for you all in the south and southeast! The land of never dry!๐Ÿ˜

We hit our first hot day, farmers are complaining about lack of heat. Cold and damp donโ€™t grow tomatoes.
Pick up some tomatoes at a roadside stand for the first time this year! They were nice and ripe! Itโ€™s been a long winter without ripe tomatoes! BLT city today!๐Ÿฅฐ have tried the paper bag ripening method with them! It works a little! But by the time the rockhard center starts to soften up some, the seeds are sprouting, and the outside is getting too ripe! Works better with bananas and avocados!
