I'ma drop a bit of a hint here. Closest thing I have to a grow secret I don't talk about much.

For anyone wondering how I have buds looking the way they do, and as far as they are consistently in that 5-7week of flower period, and how I get away with the intensities of light I do.

I found this cool calculator. I actually did this math the hard way years ago when I first started using leds, and used it to out perform other growers for a while back in KC.

The daily light integral calculator is a unique tool to help determine the total amount of light a plant gets daily.

There's this thing called the daily light integral, and my "secret" is that actually flower my plants at 11/13. Sometimes even 10/14.

The run im cropping out now in week 6 to 7 with fatass, dank ass buds, was a 10/14 run at about 1500-1600ppfd across the tops. And heads up you can only max out DLI if you keep your plants super dialed in on their nutrient requirements .

Keystrokes, keystrokes, keystrokes.

My method of growing you can blast them with as much light as you've got.

Back in the day I was burning 4k watts hps over a 3x9' footprint and had
friends who were doing 6k (old school 1k hps, no dimmers) over the same
area.

Clones went in there with a couple of lights shut off and within 2 or 3
days were up to full power. (things were different I know. For one, I had
"free" power which allowed me to have a 10 ton ac air handler in my room)

I'm not in this to grow dainty little connoisseur nugz. I'm in this to grow leg
size monsters and produce enough quality meds to last me the summer, w/
only 12 plants or less.

I've shown proof of concept, now I've just gotta get out of that tent so I can
stretch my legs, so to speak, and get'er dialed in using leds.

My method is as simple as can be. No light meters. No ppfd, or par or VPD.
None of that, just a very simple formula:

• Blast'em with as much light as possible
• Blast'em with constant nutrient solution during lights on (as high as 1800ppm)
• Blast'em with 1400ppm Co2
• Hit'em with enough wind to move them around good.
• Keep'em under 95-100f (with at least 10 degree light/dark differential)
• Flush'em and reset reservoirs every 7days.
• Love'em like they're your own children

Yes, it'll cost a little bit more in time, electric and nutes, but just like that, you'll
be filling full size tents from floor to ceiling with wholesome goodness.

There is no way that I know of to achieve the same results in soil.

My last grow was only 7 days veg and they completely filled my 4x8 tent; all
without Co2, or proper cooling/rh control. Being it was my 1st grow in 22yrs
AND, my very first grow using led's. I think I did pretty damn good.

Even in spite of having to toss a garbage bag full of my biggest prime colas,
I still ended up with a cpl lbs of quality bud, out of 1/2 of a 4x8' cursed tent.


Bottom line is - As soon as I figure out how to combine my method with some
of yours, @Mikedin's, @Captspaulding's and a few others, I'll be unstoppable.

Bet on it.

I rock the old school 1&2 high and tight every two weeks like clockwork. Barber even buys a certain blade for the 2. When I would go to social distortion shows and the marquee I would get harassed by the skin heads all night long. One by one as the show went on I would get someone asking if I was military, the later a cop. They be all drunk towards the end of the show and not even remember they were harassing me. I ended up with a ticket to the addition above that included a bar multiple bathrooms, seating. Anyway I kept spilling my beer and it was a balcony like bar for you to rest your drinks but there was a gap. I was right above where the skinheads would stand it kept falling on them.

I just learned that swabs (and prints)
will survive being shipped in the heat
much better than syringes, LC, or agar
plates.

Looks like I'll be building a laminar
flow box in the near future. If

A still air box would prolly suffice,
but I tend to overdo shit, plus, I want
to give myself every chance at success.

Also, I could use some tips on pouring
my own agar plates from powdered
concentrate. There is no way that
pre filled plates will survive shipping
in this ungodly AZ heat.

I didn't run Co2 my last grow bc it was in a tent(s) with a lung room.
when I fire back up in the fall, I'll be in a full room (sealed) and will
have to use Co2.

edit to add: I didn't mean to imply that DLI or any of that wasn't (scientifically) important.
Point I was trying to make is that it isn't important to worry about or stress
over; hell, you don't even need to know what that shit is tbh. Just more
gadgets and shit for noobs & ill informed to spend money on.

i actually dont monitor temps, rh or humidity, i just go based on my own comfort and by feel unless i can tell something off or going wrong. And i blast my plants with up to 1800ppfd sometimes and can pull 6-7 week surrounds

Its entirely by feel, and dialing in is really the wrong way to explain it once youve done it for a long time.

If you dont dial in feed regiments, and increase light intensity, then c02 wont actually benefit you. I go like the totally opposite route because its very effective as well. Its by feel but i try and keep transpiration rates and nutrients perfectly dialed for each clone, which lets me give them a lot more light than most can get away with, which allows me to run a shorter light cycle than most without a loss in end result quality, or damaging average yield for the space. Meaning really fast turnaround times.

You got the exact kinda methodology id be going down to maximize yield for the space and effort put in, whereas i go the route of increasing turn around times instead of yield lol.

I had an over abundance of customers who preferred to work with me over others and even had people change locations when I transferred to other locations. Hit budget 95% of the time and ran stores for incompetent managers for four years. I basically pissed fucking excellence, but was constantly asked to trim my beard and hair. My response was always the same. Does it affect my ability to perform my job, and would you even consider asking a female employee to do the same?
Been about twelve years since I had short hair and a trimmed beard. Fuck societal norms and expectations. My physical appearance has absolutely nothing to do with the quality of my character and everything to do with what I think about fitting in.
