Ice Cream Cake So Cal winter grow, end of week 13 (flipped 12/15). Check out blue trichomes in the mix.

BTW that's not spider mites, I think it's rat hair. The bastards were stealing branches and the buds are sticky AF so the hair prolly just stuck.
Wow!!! Yea those hairs do seem to be rat hairs....had some all over the basement this winter...Finally found good use for my .22 🤣 🤣 🤣

Like BT in the soil and surrounding areas along with spraying the plants? : ) I’ve yet to get the stuff to combat them so im in the market. About when do you start treating for them?
I started right away. I have a rotation of various things that I use bimonthly for bugs and pathogens. I'm using both foliar and soil treatments.

Just some other stuff in my garden.
The corn stalks are all over 7' tall and have CORN on them. Super stoked considering this is my first time growing it.
The beans and peas are loaded.
The tomato plants are loaded.
Pumpkin vines are starting to show the male flowers. Just keeping an eye out for the female ones so I can start pollinating them.
We had fresh corn on the cob two nights ago. Last night we had a squash, cuc, tomato salad drizzled with Vidalia onion dressing and honey mustard smoked ribs from the smoker. I love fresh food.

I am proactive and start treating once a week from the time I put them in the ground. It creates that toxic climate from the get go. BT on Monday evenings and Neem oil on Thursday evenings up until 2-3 weeks before harvest. Still get pillars but very few and the damage is minimal.
Which BT? We've tried Captain Jack's on cabbage and it didn't do diddly.

I get stoned and wait for inspiration to hit 🤣

if you got enough where yield isn’t an issue you might as well push the limits 🤣 ever done super or mega cropping? where they top like the entire plant? Seems stressful but might be fun
I love super cropping! Last novenber

Pineapple and skunk got trellis’d! Apparently it’s a bamboo kind of year

I use Monterey Bt.
During prime pillar season which is late Summer/early Fall I add like 1/2 tbspn more per gallon than the recommended dosage. Plus when I start noticing them my wife and I will get out early a couple of Saturdays and just hunt for them. Pillars are my #1 nemesis here in So-Cal so I take them very seriously. 😤😤

I definitely know I will have them in my area. But I agree. Don't do it if you don't have to.
Yeah, I know! You guys know whats ahead of you! You have to do it to survive! Sometimes the learning part of whether you need it or not, can be painful! He’s in Arkansas! There’s gonna be a lot of stuff trying to kill his shit!😂 it’s good You guys are around to offer advice and let him know what he needs to arm himself with against some of it!

New tops coming in nice after the defoliation. I don't think im going to top them anymore. Time to let them go full steam.

The runt just doesn't seem like its growing much at all lol. Im holding on hope for it.
