These spots are appearing on some of my leaves. I think they are pest related as some of the leaves are being eaten. Just wanted to get opions if I a Nutrient deficiency along with a bug problem. For the leaf eaters is insecticidal soap good enough?

Thanks in advance

HerbalEdu came up with this, which looks pretty accurate! I can’t link! But you can check out the website! Other than them, some kind of hopper damage!

That's some hungry bugs one way or another. Insecticide can do more harm than good to your plant. I read neem oil also works against 4lines.

Sounds like their life cycle is over by the middle of summer so they should disappear on their own if they’re not doing too much damage!

As an outdoor grower I respectfully disagree, but perhaps only the way it was phrased.

When growing outdoors, not using the right insecticides or using them incorrectly can cause more harm than good. Not using them at all with no other contingencies in their place, the only ones who will be enjoying your weed at the end of the day is the bugs.

always keep in mind that some bugs are nomad on won't necessarely stay on your plant (watch for eggs), so treating won't necessarely help if they're gone, some biological/organic insectides got short efficiency lasting period.

first photo look like it could be four lined bug yeah

not sure about the second may be :

Thanks alot everyone. I think you nailed it with the four lined bug. I will treat the plants with some Neem oil.

Thanks again. Great forum!
