You're on to something there for sure... I've mentioned this before and worth mentioning why I target locked on the thinking. In my ninja travels, I got to know some technical folks in the pool industry who were trying to dial in the most energy efficient pool pumps,. From that research came the energy curve chart where they researched and found when you double the electricity you don't double the horsepower. You get less. And if you triple it, you get SIGNIFICANTLY less than triple. It's a diminishing return. The same principle applies to light diodes. Running your lights at lower power is going to give you more light for less electricity by stacking enough of them to get the light levels you need at reduced power.

As much as I'd like to tell you what drives my interest about it is that I care about the environment, it's not really the case. Fuck that. What I really care about is my wallet and my hard earned cashish.

The longer I’ve been doing this in the more that I fuck around with these LEDs it seems that the lessis more approach really does apply a lot of the time it’s just about finding that balance between nutrition, free airflow, and lighting just ensuring not to screw the pooch on any one of those and you’ll be just fine And finding that baseline has such a wide margin on either the fail or winning columns that it’s one of those things that if you just take your time and pay attention, you kinda can’t fuck up that being said you can totally fuck up, if you are blind as a bat.

I’ve actually had long DM conversations with people about exactly that it’s amazing what you can have these lights pull in my eyes it’s a nutrition game more than anything. The LEDs that they make nowadays are so damn powerful dude.
