It's because of EU regulations. Peat will be banned, coming next year - if I remember the time frame correctly. I understand the concerns about the environment when it comes to peat farming/mining or whatever it's called, still I would prefer to use peat soil. I guess it will have an impact on the taste of my weed. Typical bs EU regulation imo

After doing some research, I couldn't find anything about regulations or anything else regarding peat in the substrate at the European level. I saw that in England the date has been brought forward by four years, from 2030 to 2026. In France, exploitation and importation have been prohibited since 2022... I went to the Biobizz website and it just lists a new range of peat-free potting soil... the end

Gotta re-share this story... There's a crazy surf punk band I go see whenever they come to town. After one show in San Diego I ran into the guitarist at the bar, offered him up some gummies and his eyes got wide and he grabbed a big old handful and stuffed them into his mouth and just started chewing with a huge goofy grin on his face.

So I told him how cool it is that I finally lived long enough to see the day that I can walk down to the local pot store and buy a joint.

And without skipping a beat, he turned to me and asked, "But where are the coke stores?"
