Good call. Not worried about the deck. We're redoing it next year when the funds come in. But I am worried about the roots so, thanks for the heads up.
Be careful what you choose to support! Netting might lend some support, but it also inhibits accessing the plant to a certain extent! And come fall you may need to access that plant a lot more than you think! Lol!👍

Living in Minnesota you have a lot more to worry about than netting you better think about how you're going to cover them when the rain and cold weather hits those girls won't be ready till mid-october

Take it from me I live in Michigan I know what can happen in the northern hemisphere been grown outside for years

I put the structure up before I even get started I can tie to it cover it thoroughly if needed or just put a top on it for rainy days

We had a lot of bud rot here in Ohio, last year. 3 days non stop rain, then 5 days of clouds and little wind. My buddy lost 85% of his crop. Anyone who has large, dense mugs, was at great risk. I've gotta pop up, 10x10 sun shelter that came to mind....just in case of a repeat.

I was told several years back that if you’re going to talk trash, stir up shit, and dispense bad advice on a thread like this, you need a license! And that requires providing a few pictures! So I am renewing my license!😂🍻 the volunteer that still hasn’t sexed, but the little cobra volunteer growing out from underneath it is female! And then life out back in the playpen! Same as it ever was! Same as it ever was! ✌️

They're so big! Aren't you gonna havta start leanin' those things soon?

Oh, and your volunteer favors cousin IT. LOL
Too early to bend them! If I bend them now I’m gonna have lowers shooting six or 7 feet into the sky by the time they flower! And you have to make sure the root ball is developed enough to handle a bend without up rooting! It’s still pretty damn early! This was the one I was hoping for a cousin it! But it’s starting to stretch out a little now so I think I’m out of luck with it![ I’ve only had one in my life, and that was back in the days of growing out in the bushes and hiding from helicopters! Stocky little thing with about 1 inch internodal spacing all the way up! Probably a true Afghani!iATTACH=full]2469395[/ATTACH]

The weather forecast calls for rain and low temperatures, 17-10°C, for the next three days; The length of the day from sunrise to sunset is now 19 hours and seven minutes and is getting shorter every day as we move towards autumn; The beginning of the season has been arctic.

Any recommendations from anyone?

F1 strains with growth times of 8-12 weeks. Put into germination on 3.5. and into the growing area on 13.5. Growth has been short and the start of flowering has been delayed due to rainy, cloudy and dark weather;

There have been exceptionally few hours of sunlight compared to average.

What does the jury recommend for these next steps?

I beg your mercy, or at least good advice to optimize what I can do to save what can still be saved.

PS: The girls have the opportunity to get 19 hours of direct light a day, depending on the cloudiness.

As long as you don’t prematurely flower them by putting them out too early, they are smart enough to tell the difference between a sunny day and a cloudy day! They will flower when the hours of light and dark signal them to flower! Where in the hell are you growing at to get that kind of light? The Arctic Circle? I am in Norcal and the longest day of the year would be 16 hours including morning and evening twilight!😀 plants look good! I wouldn’t want them to flower before mid August! Around here, they really take off in July and August! Two or 3 inches a day!

Whoops, that's why I shouldn't have bent them so soon. Damn.
At least you’re probably not gonna uproot them! What happens remains to be seen! The Mazar you sent me cooperated on the sex level and they are looking good! Can’t wait if I don’t screw it up! You go girl!!!😍👍

Love Jade Nectar. One of 3 growers I follow on YouTube. I want to visit his farm when it becomes open to the public.
I’m with you on that Durban! That’s a style that I want to emulate! No rocket science or hocus-pocus! Just straight up good farming! I’m thinking he might not even feed them anything! I am staying tuned till the final episode! He’s a good guy for even bothering to do it! And I would love to get a crack at his seed stash! That might be possible in the future!😍👍

Yeah I'm the same. I know last year he had to give some of his plants a good shot of some water soluble stuff he put together because they were having nute deficiencies, but that was the one time he fed them and it was only a certain strain. My 3x3 beds are getting started a certain way so I can start focusing on layering the soil and doing a no-till thing. How he uses the cover crop as "green manure" is something I'm going to try to copy this offseason. One of the other growers I follow "Kaligrownbuds" does almost the same thing in his backyard and they grow some of the best looking plants I've ever seen.

Yeah, they weed whack anything that has grown over the winter and throw it into the beds and turn it in! When you think about it that’s pretty much how it’s done in nature! Just a little longer process! And that wood chip stuff almost boggles the mind! 90% of the people on this site consider it a travesty to find some wood chips in their soil! L O L! This guy makes a living using tons of them!

Yeah that's what the other user I follow said. It's mimicking nature. Only difference is we speed up the process by cutting it down. And no tilling. Just layers.

I grow near the Arctic Circle, 62° north latitude. My girls are autoflowers.

That’s bad ass! Knock it out of the park! Didn’t know they were autos! So in theory, the clock starts ticking when the bean pops! Regardless of light and weather! It’s a race against the clock for you to get them as big as you can before they decide to flower! Of course, the right weather will give you a prettier plant! But the clock is ticking! Inexorably ticking! Tick! Tick! Tick! No pressure! Lol!😂🍻 from the looks of it you’ve done a good job so far and they should be throwing some pistils at you pretty soon! Just googled how long summer last in Finland at random! In the south it’s about mid May to mid September! In Lapland, it is mid June to mid August!😳
