I'll definitely include at least one in my next grow, reading about the Nevil Haze really has me curious, even if the Autos probably are a bit different than the original reg/fem versions.

I grew up in the ozarks and a certain large family controlled the weed and later on, the meth trade. The drug side of the family all lived in a village or cluster or shacks and single wife's down in the big woods, surrounded by national forest.
Locals knew... and left them alone.
It was amusing though...sometimes newcomers would move in the settlement and make friends with these folks. But it never failed in six months to a year the newcomers would be busted for drugs.

In fact companies like Dutch passion and Nirvana began by copying Nevils seeds from the F1 seed…but most of them would never say so as they are Dutch business men who see dollars first and not genetics….Sam and Nevil use to work a bit on strains together but when it was revealed that Sam and his crew of Americans in Holland all were part of informants for the DEA in America on a radio program in Holland they split to the UK to do other things. Sam never started or owned a seed company so his claim to all the strains that became famous years ago are not really warranted. He did however do a lot of work on Skunk and shared some seed with Nevil, but as you know for breeding you cannot just take any plant and make a strain like Greenhouse does nowadays. I was working in Australia on varieties like Mullumbimby madness and Thai and Columbia strains of sativas, as well as a lot of original Afghan stock. A lot of stories exist about the Widow family and a lot of people had access to some of the female versions I left in Holland and soon began claiming to be the creature etc….but the original seed versions that won the first cup in 1995 came from my plants not anyone else’s. Till today we have all the plants in original form. Franco, the Italian working for Arjan now does not even know the original plants as he did not come on the scene till after I left. I have nothing against him at all but he is paid by Arjan andis part of that show so believes what ever is feed to him. The GHSco tried to get things going by buying some seed Nev and I had for sale from a guy in Holland during this time. The guy called me up and told me Arjan bought a few thousand euros of this seed and a year later came out with seed under the well known names he had used previously. But all the facts have become mixed and people try to confuse the grower by claiming things that no one else can prove to be correct or wrong…as there are no rules in the seed game since all cannabis is actually not recognized in the official plant world as sub species due to it being drug related. So in actual fact no one owns nothing…even all the trademarked R after the names you see from various seed companies are all bullshit as they are not really able to protect any names as the plants do not officially exist…but that is another story.

In the late 90s I gave plants to Soma, and he began a seed company a year later too…mixing his skunks to my males. This has occurred many times to me just look at the Spanish seed companies and 10 years ago…none existed until I went there in 1995 and gave away 3 kilos of seed to growers via Canamo magazine….but that is another story too.

Now the female seed story saved a lot of seed companies who never really breed seed as you only need a F1 female and chemicals….no need for a male…..so go figure why companies like the Greenhouse or Dinafem etc…set up selling female seed…..the money the demand and not really needing skill with males are all prerequisites to make a female seed. It is therefore obvious to me why Arjan (who is a very marketing person nothing more) and Franco come out every year with a new name plant…they buy an original F1 seed and donk it with silver nitrates and there you have there products…but now adays there are so many doing it it is incredible. Even companies have called me to tell me they feminised a clone of Critical mass in spain and call it critical plus….but say nothing more than thanks. So actually I really do not care any longer about other companies and what they say. We at MNS sell the real versions that won the original awards and made the legends…nowadays it is all confused and everyone is going feminised…except MNS. We exist so people who like to breed will be able to with the original true breed plants that come from selection and natural collection from traveling around the world. As they say, an empty barrel makes a louder noise…and we are full.

I grew some White Widow in 2004. Can't remember where I got the seeds. Nice dense buds. Kinda had the taste of sour milk. Bought some WW last year on vacation. Hi Shanti, I'd like to make some corrections. I'm from Santa Cruz and knew the Haze brothers well. They traded Haze seeds to Sam for Skunk. They were good friends.
Nevil went to a HT event in NY and met 3 guys that called themselves the Haze brothers because they bought Haze in Santa Cruz and took it to NY to sell. He never met the growers from Santa Cruz.
Maybe you weren't living in NL yet and heard Nevil's version. I remember meeting you in the late 80s at a flea market selling Australian souvenirs with your wife. That was before you became a breeder.
Nevil started a seed company where he bought weed in coffee shops, removed the seeds and sold them for something like 50 cents each. That is until he met Sam and got access to Skunk#1, Haze, and others with the promise that he wouldn't reproduce them and sell them. He reneged on his promise. The same thing happened with Greg who bred Northern Lights. He trusted Nevil and got burned.
You wouldn't know these things because you were not in NL yet. You claim that Sam never had a seed company. Sam had several seed companies. Sacred Seeds, Cultivator Choice and Research seeds. I will try to post an add for Sam's seeds for sale which appeared in HT magazine in the beginning of 1981. Skunk Magazine recently printed an article about Ben with a picture of this ad as if Ben was selling seeds in 81, especially Sam's seeds. Look at the names. Hazes,, Afghani's, Nepali's, South Indians, etc. He specified how they would grow in the San Francisco Bay area because that's where he lived in 1981. How can someone publish a magazine like this and be so ignorant?
Are you insinuating that someone can't breed seeds if they don't have a seed company? That's ludicrous. When did Nevil start his seed company? I forget because is 84 he was taking seeds out of weed thsat he bought in coffee shops.
As far as Sam being an informant, you know it isn't true. If you recall, I approached you at Spannabis one year and asked if you really believed it. I believe he re worked the org nl5. I could be wrong.....eveyone with a story....i dont think nevil ever took credit for nl5 anyways. He may have took credit for reworking it. Rumor has it ot sure if this is true, he was going to be coming out with nl5 seeds before a raid or maybe the fire.....not sure if its true...if it was a raid woukdnt shock me if word got back to the americans working for the dea that were in holland at the time......show me some literature where that is stated....mr nice seeds site where nevil says that in a post would be the only evidence i would believe. Im my hometown a mxican family sold most if not all the pot in town. The son would snitch out his competition...one day i seen him give a piece of paper he tore off mail maybe whatever. He gives it to the pig and looks at me like ah, shit! Next day in school tells me if i tell anyone hes going to kick my ass...i tell his fat ratass budy. He goes and tells him. His name is Ray Cogo and he got busted mailing seeds for Nevil in the US. I believe he snitched off Nevil's customers but you have to ask Todd McCormick about that. He's the one that dug up the court records.

I agree. Obviously, Shanti's account was incorrect. He said that Sam didn't have a seed company. If he's wrong about one thing maybe we should question the rest. I believe that Just Say No wasn't until later.
