Could be wildfire smoke for all I know! But he made it sound like it was fireworks smoke! And you guys back there can still have burn piles and such!😍 in my experience, when you burn early in the morning, while it is still cool, the smoke tends to hug the ground till it warms up!
I made some smoke…

Cool day today after raining last night. Almost 70 degrees this morning.
I still have 15 photos in 1 gallon pots and lots of potting soil so I transplanted them into the remaining 15 - 5 gallon fabric pots I had left. They only got half a bag of soil, so I hope it helps them survive better. The lower leaves were yellowing.
After seeing the root mass at the bottom of the plastic pots, they needed it bad.

Just having a hard time killing them. LOL

I do that all the time also! If there’s a next year, I think I’ll go from solos to 4 or 5 gallon instead of 2 gallon! You can leave them in the bigger pots till they sex without starving them! Then into the final pot!

Yesterday I wrestled with a wad of plastic trellis netting that wouldn't do what I wanted, so it got pitched!
Went on amazon and paid the extra $3 to get it to me this morning. Got it, cut it and it works great!
The white netting on the north side is to catch the south leaning upstarts. This way I still have access to almost everything.
Whadda thunk?

I dig your vertical trellis too. That’s pretty bad ass.

I thunk you're lining up for a very busy, happy fall !!!

I'm still wondering how the heck I got stuck with sooooo many females. I know, terrible problem to have, but really? This year? When I already started to many seeds? 🫤

Got to thinkin about this. The first batch of 72, I picked out the biggest and prettiest seeds I saw.
Then because I forgot the fan, the tallest fell over and died when I took them outside. The remaining were transplanted and grew. No, I did not label which ones they are. Damn.
Went back to the seed stash and tried again with the next prettiest and biggest seeds. This time I remembered the fan.

Wonder if this 'mistake' weeded out the boys early.
Or maybe, I'm just really high. LOL

Very possible…I’m only allowed 6 so I cull before they show sex, and those tall ones are the first to go.

Love the flower accents. Are they a helper species?
