Huh? Oppy was quoting the Bhagavad Gita... That's what I was talking about...Oh he ain't the cool one. Oppy was a twat lol, Teller should have the biopic.

Our understanding of time and the universe is entirely shaped by the limitations of our perception. These are both human inventions. We interpret the cosmos through the narrow lens of our own lifespan and physical scale, essentially constructing a reality that's restricted to what's directly observable to us.
This inherent bias prevents us from fully grasping the true immensity of existence, both in its grandest and most minute forms. If the universe is indeed infinitesimally large and ever-expanding, it logically follows that there must also be an infinitesimally small scale to reality, one that extends far beyond our current ability to perceive or comprehend. We are, in essence, confined to a tiny sliver of the full spectrum of existence.![]()
Yessir I do my best thinking at those hours too. Honestly when I was young I used to always think I had a sleep problem.I'm mostly up at night and nap on and
off during the day when it's 114f out
This is AZ after all
The wee hrs are my most creative,
so it works out well...![]()
Scythe by Shusterman, Neal by Simon & SchusterJust reminded me of a joke skit I once heard or saw about a religious cult calling themselves The Church of the Eternal Moment of Now. If you just noodle the name around in your head, the comical contradictions of religion and science begin to emerge.
Think about thisHowdy folks!
Another wonderful day in the cosmic pinball machine!
Hope you are all well.
Enjoying life
And spliffs
Gotta have those
@TheGoldenRoad
Splitting the atom is not the problem. If all we had to worry about was fission bombs we ( world ) could survive that mess.Well, to be fair though literally every scientist, physicist cosmologist under the sun that had a general understanding of how that stuff worked all knew on some level that splitting the atom was gonna be a bad fucking deal
You know the whole I am come death destroyer of worlds
Type shit
Einstein just happened to be on the record about it
Face official stolen on this here tripped out rat.Think about this
Each of us could be one of those rats they used to dose with lsd for medical research the 70’s and then convinced us we are humans for some study that stopped getting funded and all this shit is just a big trip anyway so do what you want and what makes you happy cuz we’re all rats breathing in the good air and shitting out waste everywhere following a path to nothingness.
It’s like the simulation theory but less quantum computing
Oh, what I meant was is at the time before the atom had officially been split. Everyone thought it was gonna be the end of the world. A lot of academics were on that they were extremely scared to do it let alone harness it.Splitting the atom is not the problem. If all we had to worry about was fission bombs we ( world ) could survive that mess.
Fusion is another matter. A large fission device would be 50kt.
They can fit a 50kt fusion device into an artillery shell and can put 10 400kt bombs in one satan2 missle.
That was Kali, the destroyer.
I honestly believe that anyone who hasn't done DMT, at least once
has no place in this discussion...
While under the influence of DMT
You not only see the immensity & totality of the *Kosmos
you become it...
I'll bet $1
That @Captspaulding will agree
*Kosmos with the capital "K" captures
the interior dimensions, as well as the
exterior dimensions; the cosmos with
the lower case "c" (galaxy's and all the
"matter" that you can see, poke, prod
& measure etc)
Got this off eBay a few years ago with some other antique pocket knives…it appears to be home made…butterfly.SHOW ME UR KNIFFS! 1962 western USA. I would trust it to combine with a hammer and open an M1 Abrams like a tuna can.
Ha!
That knife is fucking awesome. The grip looks like it’s made out of giant beaver teeth.Got this off eBay a few years ago with some other antique pocket knives…it appears to be home made…butterfly.
They were sure a train going past a fast horse run would kill a personOh, what I meant was is at the time before the atom had officially been split. Everyone thought it was gonna be the end of the world. A lot of academics were on that they were extremely scared to do it let alone harness it.
But yeah, what you were just saying that’s fucking crazy man
400 kt ain’t no small fucking bomb 10 of them is ridiculous
But I’m about that megaton life dog![]()
Our lines of thinking do not diverge here. They were sure a train going past a fast horse run would kill a person
They were sure breaking the sound barrier would kill the pilot even if the aircraft made it back.
They were sure subs past 200 meters would never happen.
They were sure solar radiation would kill anyone out of the atmosphere.
They are a bunch of idiots and we need to stop listening to they.
I do not mind when I read about scientific wrongness. It's ok to be wrong absent additional data. What I hate is the way some parts of science are being used to concentrate power in the hands of a few. New science that contradicts the old science with proof is growth. New science that contradicts old science with no proof is the basis of religion, not science.
