So it’s been a heat wave here for a couple months. Lots of rain but the sun dries out my fabric pots pretty quickly.
The ones in flower had pretty much completely stopped producing white hairs or had stopped.
I did a heavy feeding 3 days ago and overnight white hairs started randomly appearing.
Now several are making the shit out of them like they are in an earlier stage of flower.

What should I do with this situation? Some could stand a few more weeks but others I’ve got a lot of amber showing on the trichomes already. Those are making less white hairs than the others that aren’t as mature.

I want maximum potency and fill. So I’m struggling to make a decision on the mature ones.
I’ve never had them start a second flush of white hairs like that. It’s usually steady and follows a pretty normal time clock.

When that happens to me I harvest according to the old bud instead of the new bud. Yes, you might get some early new bud that is not fully riped but the old bud below is more important. If you wait until the new top of the buds mature, then you wont have peak THC levels because the old bud will have too much amber.

Pictures of the entire plant? Or plants. Auto or photo?

Was gonna ask for one myself just now, its always better to see how much new bud is appearing but Im pretty sure the old bud hold most of the weight of the harvest and if he already sees amber on the old bud... yeah, getting to a dangerous ripeness level if you want a head high.

Where I come from a photo, is not supposed to be flowering this time of year when growing outdoors!

We will see what he says! With any luck, it will be an auto! If not, something is probably wrong!😁

I like indica full body experience…..I called it the herbal essence effect. Remember the shower scenes from the shampoo commercials….Yes! Yes! YES! 😂
Or the oh so famous family guys . Idk what you are….but YOU ARE IT!

I like potent flower. High terps and high cannaboids.

I may actually let it ripen a bit too much waiting on fill and the plant to naturally start dying off like the pictures you see of plants with the crazy color leaves just starting.

So longer isn’t gonna be more sedative? I know it will be a big hashier harsh smoke but I do want some danky shit.
The flavors are just as important as getting high to me.
Call me a cannaisseur. I’m also a bit of a foodie and I like complex wines.

I’m thin and fit as anyone can be but I live my sensory life through my pallet and nose.

I dont plant outdoors so Im a bit clueless but isnt july a bit too early for harvest? Or is it an auto?
They are definitely autos. You gotta keep everything low profile to the ground around here.

Photos get scary even with a ridiculous amount of pinching off and tying down.
Plus the time investment. I do them but autos are a good quick fix that don’t turn into a monster that screams look at me.

Working on pics. It’s over 100 heat index here right now. I hide till it gets shady and usually get out there just after sunrise to check for more vegetables to pic and glance over everyone.

Actually while not the best thing to do. If and I mean IF you wanted to turn a photo into an auto it could be done with a bio-hack.

There are sprays that will make them go from veg to flower no matter what the light cycle. They stay in flower too it’s not a keep doing it thing.
I would consider something like that for making seeds but idk the repercussions for smoking it. As your not spraying the flowers themselves and they aren’t existent at time it possible would be ok.

Pics are not showing white hairs as good but it’s also hot as crap here. They are in need of a sprinkle this afternoon to perk back up.

It was very noticeable on some more than others. The more noticeable ones had a flush of hairs on the tops as well as lower buds/lower foxtails.
The less noticeable most of the growth when you look under and on sides. It’s contributing to a lot of bulking up so I’m not complaining.

Could use some input to know what over maturing will do to my smoke?
Again I’m not a sativa man. The only sativa I’m in love with is cannabis sativa😂
So getting some stronger body effects will garner no complaints from me.

Never done autos, or consider myself a pro. But they look like they have a ways to go. IMO
That’s how they look. I just can’t figure out why it ceased putting off white hairs then they just came popping out all of a sudden. This is after all the existing older hairs turned red and then the sudden onset of white new growth.

I only grow indoors but when that happens to me its usually light intensity and it would make sense since you say its awfully hot. The first one looks ready, the rest depends on you, you could let them go for longer if you want to. At the end of the day what counts is the ammount of milky trichomes, if you wanna wait to have more milky because you see clear ones at the expense of more of them turning amber thats fine. I wouldnt go further than 30% amber though, and I dont think Ive ever done that much (not counting the big leaves). With some strains happens more than with others but if theyre too ripe they lose all flavor.
