This is the plant my dog trampled (Oakley's Special). Right below the bamboo trellis it was messed up and grew three main branches on the same node straight out and another one below that by itself, looked like it was topped or something. Then just decided it was going to grow a funky ass main stem/branch straight up with new growth and now I have a full canopy. One thing's for certain these plants are resilient.

Finland is experiencing a heat wave, with daytime temperatures rising above 85°F and nights only reaching 65°F.

The heat wave will last at least another week, after which temperatures will return to near average , although it will likely be slightly warmer than usual.

The day length today is 18h 26min, so there is enough light.

I haven't pruned the foliage at all yet so that the ground on the bench stays shady and moist and doesn't get too warm for the earthworms.

Anywho. Everyone got a bit more training and pruning today. kinked a couple. Reading last night I realized I didn’t do an actually main line/manifold but it should still have good results? I smoke too much to have bad results 🤣

Would be nice to see them putting on some size! Not breaking any records!😈

So what's the benefit of main lining over topping and tying branches back. Seems like the same affect, to me. I like knowledge, from those that do, or have.

Article is gonna explain it way better than I can. Seems like mainlining is a mix of topping and lst but in a specific manner. Supposed to help avoid the little popcorn buds all together.

I don’t know shit I’m just faking it bahaha

Mainline is more for low even canopy in a tent and being real selective of the strongest branches. You can take low produceing branches off and let the focus on the 6 to 8 main cola branches. This is my thoughts on a mainline. Topping gives you two main tops and bending them over LST allows the side branches to grow up and get more light. You can tie those off also teach them to grow outwards along the sides of the pot.
