This is my first time growing plants outdoors after 3 years in a tent. I have one plant I have already flipped by taking it in and out of the shed everyday, but my second plant I have left in veg outside. This photo is from the plant thats left in veg outside.

I noticed this little guy growing and I cant tell if it's a male showing, or if thats the start of a new leaf? Checking the plant over there are some very early signs of sex, but no pistils and no multiple balls.

I just dont want this dude pissing out pollen as my other outdoor plant is very much a girl.

Oof. Yup thems balls alright. Every once in a while you might see a female that throws a fat calyx so you just clench your butt cheeks for a minute too see if maybe it'll be a teardrop with a hair popping out of it but more often than not it turns out to just be a ball.

As another grower here recently pointed out to me, you could isolate it, harvest some pollen and feed it to a very specific area of the plant so that you'll get some seeds you can use later while having the rest seedless for smoke. But that be new to me and I'm prolly gonna seek some emotional support from someone who's done it, lol.

Here's one I got. Yup had to be a dude. I'd have chopped it but damn it... So then I started noodling if maybe if I find a beast fem in the garden I'd hook em up wink wink. Now I'm eyeballing that S1 Durban in the back. "How much for the daughter?" 🤣

So I know you were only throwing it out there is this a male or not and I thought I'd jump back in and let you know it doesn't have to be the end of the road. You've got options. But I'm in the same boat as you, outdoors and gotta isolate more than by just distance.

Balls......Ive been like 90% sure it was a ball for a week now, but I just needed to make sure. Thanks.

I so left the plant and it turns out it's actually a female. That weird ball in the picture was just some tiny leaf all cured up tight and round. It's got pistils all over her now.
