You’re not going to change the soil pH with water. Soil naturally resist change (buffering) to its pH level and will fairly quickly restore the pH before your water is absorbed or evaporates. Even with really low pH levels in your water you won’t affect the soil much, if at all. Not talking battery acid here, but using 6 H2O won’t so diddly.
So I need to look for a quick way to lower ph?

I mix 300 gallons of soil about four years ago! The recipe called for 20 pounds of dolomite lime! I think it is the great equalizer! Have reamended every year since without lime, and the pH is always spot on! Lime takes an awful long time to wear off! 😁 it’s PH is seven!

I do an annual soil test from UMass. Only $20-$25 and you’ll have a much better idea of what’s going on.

Yeah, you have to if you are reusing and re-amending year after year! Sometimes those reports can come back pretty scary! Lol! But re-amending year after year is actually a lot of fun! It’s a challenge in its own self!

Haven’t seen the sun for more than a few hours this entire week. But the stubborn marine layer finally broke down and the sun pooped out around 2 today. (Probably have a few hours before it rolls back in by 6. At least the plants seem happy enough, even if I’m not.)

Finally getting a couple of the laggards to wake up. An AC/DC that was being terrorized by a mole. These are normally pretty big plants so a sad showing.

And a Strawberry Cough that’s been super slow. (New strain for me so 🤷‍♂️)

Beautiful!

Lime won't help much if he needs acidity, add in sulfur, peat or more good compost. My equalizer in my alkaline soil is......drum roll please.......rabbit shit.
I’ve watched one video series! Some antiquated series made in 2017 about growing outdoors in southern Oregon! Taught me all I need to know! Along with gleaning the site! I was an over complicating son of a bitch during my crash and burn years! Lol!
I am sold on regenerative farming and several of his videos go deeper than most into the subject. Depending on my Heineken load I may doze off though 😂

Nothing will help if it has lime in it to begin with! That’s why you put it in first! But I don’t think he’s making his own soil! Or re-amending his own soil! To any real extent! When your girls require a lot of soil, then there is no other choice! You can’t just throw it away and start over like a lot of these guys do! Right on, you old razorback! We will see how you make out! Cheers, brother!

Storm hit today … not too bad tho … top dressed them today with some organic 4-4-8 and going to try ride it out til Sept …. Don’t know what strains but pretty sure these r females by looks of it.… 3 of them look awfully similar but one of them is defs not related LoL…not seeing any sacs .. yet that is 🤷‍♂️ lol. 🤞
