Look all those nodes for buds....looking good.newest pic of the present grow. i felt like i should at least try to post a decent pic at this point.
Crap, i subscribe to a podcast about cannabis that's called "DGC" or the "Dude Grows Show". i just got a download from them that's called "these new autoflower strains are changing cannabis growing w_Daz from night owl genetics". unfortunately i couldn't find a direct link to it online, only able to find it for the podcast. As you stated with autos they have pros and cons. I am finishing my autos for the year...been harvesting at least 1 a day. My photos are coming along quite well. The first are my outdoor photos.
The second photo is a pick of my brothers blueberry auto. Nice bud.
I watch the podcast, some good info. I wasn't aware that you can't clone autos. But, really it makes sense. Autos are full steam ahead to the finish once they pop.Crap, i subscribe to a podcast about cannabis that's called "DGC" or the "Dude Grows Show". i just got a download from them that's called "these new autoflower strains are changing cannabis growing w_Daz from night owl genetics". unfortunately i couldn't find a direct link to it online, only able to find it for the podcast.
i instantly thought of you as to the auto's. i haven't had a chance to listen to it but i look forward to checking it out. i figured it might be something that would interest you. if so if you have a podcast app it should show on a search. there are youtube shows from them but it's easier for me to listen to them while doing other things.
i love your perspective, while i haven't decided to mess with auto's, well actually i haven't chosen to buy seed at this point maybe in the future i might. i like the idea of trying the auto's to determine whether to decide on a photo.I watch the podcast, some good info. But like mentioned in podcast they are a bumper crop to give you bud, in between your photos. I use them to check out different strains. If a strain has auto, I will grow the auto to check the strain out. They are usually 8 to 10 weeks from seed to harvest, they are smaller takes up less space. You can get a feel on how the Photo may produce, large buds, taste, heavy producer.
They work for me, I have found several strains that I put on my upcoming grow list. Thank you for the tip and as always grow grow grow.
my initial assumption would be that taking clones would be somewhat detrimental as the time clock i would think would be set by the mother plant. this would suggest that the clone would follow suit. i would think the time it would take for the clone to take root might significantly limit the end results. i have felt autos would be somewhat more difficult to re veg as well but i never looked into it.I watch the podcast, some good info. I thought autos were the way to go. Soooo I bought only autos, then the light came on. I made many mistakes at first , as I am sure most of us have at the beginning. I was over watering, trimming way to much, over feeding.....my plants were way to small and yields were terrible. My buds were airy, not dense not big at all. Talking with people on this forum got me turned around. Now my autos are of decent size and yields, density and girth are up.my initial assumption would be that taking clones would be somewhat detrimental as the time clock i would think would be set by the mother plant. this would suggest that the clone would follow suit. i would think the time it would take for the clone to take root might significantly limit the end results. i have felt autos would be somewhat more difficult to re veg as well but i never looked into it.
So Well Said........................ Grow Grow Grow.............![]()
sounds like we've had some similarities. i have gotten about an ounce from the best plants. the overwatering thing is something i'm real good atI thought autos were the way to go. My next grow, and what I have turned around this grow will be much better. I have not had a plant where my yield is over an ounce. I have 2 harvested plants that may reach that ounce mark, but they are still drying.
I have purchased, alot of photo seeds,
I've successfully cloned 2 plants, they have taken time to recoup, but they are 2 of the ones that I've turned around. I have tackled some of the stativas, they are long winded. I call the Punta Rojo my Christmas weed. Happy growing.
They are good.....just not enough of it. I like the landrace weed....I did a Columbian Gold that auto.....just making that comment would make the ole time hippies toes curl. Columbian Gold that's autoflower.....what's autoflowersounds like we've had some similarities. i have gotten about an ounce from the best plants. the overwatering thing is something i'm real good at. seems like i haven't missed many chances to overwater. i feel i've got it in line at the moment. love to know how the harvested plants deliver (taste/buzz).
Grow, Grow, Grow.............
yep, my toes are curlingThey are good.....just not enough of it. I like the landrace weed....I did a Columbian Gold that auto.....just making that comment would make the ole time hippies toes curl. Columbian Gold that's autoflower.....what's autoflower
But it was tasty and gave me a good buzz. It doesn't take much for me to get stoned....very low tolerance. 40 years of government service kept me away from it....piss test. But now im retired and enjoying being able to grow weed legally.
I was told that your plants need to dry out before they get watered again. I was testing with finger, then a wetness gauge, a person on this forum told me to go by weight....lift the pot if it feels like Styrofoam....it needs water. Ive turned my grow around. There are al lot of very helpful people on this forum. Check out the Trainwreck...
I planted 4 Punta Rojo....close sister of Columbian Red Bud, another 1970 era weed. I was hoping for 1 or 2 females.
that sounds amazing, can't say i am aware of that strain. and i thought my plants took a long time to develop, i have to admit given how long those take i would consider myself fortunate. not aware of what LST is. how did you come by the seeds. if i ever heard of that strain it was probably in high time decades ago. the end result is the most important thing. as long as they produce some real fine bud its all worth it.I planted 4 Punta Rojo....close sister of Columbian Red Bud, another 1970 era weed. I was fortunate or maybe not to get all 4 females. They are 28to 36 week stativas.16-20 for veg, 12/16 weeks for flower. Well here in NE Ohio the days are getting shorter, I am afraid they may go into flower early soooo today I am moving them inside one of my tents. Im gonna have to learn LST, these beauties can grow to 7 feet tall or more.
LST is Low Stress Training...its more complicated, but it's more or less training the plants to go sideways. Google LST there are different methods.that sounds amazing, can't say i am aware of that strain. and i thought my plants took a long time to develop, i have to admit given how long those take i would consider myself fortunate. not aware of what LST is. how did you come by the seeds. if i ever heard of that strain it was probably in high time decades ago. the end result is the most important thing. as long as they produce some real fine bud its all worth it.![]()
Here are pics of the plants in the space, if you zoom in on second pic you will see I bent 2 of the plants tops into webbing. Over time they will be weaved thru all of the webbing. I have another web that I will install in time and weave through that one as well. Ive never done this soooo we will see. Gonna try to put four 7 foot plants into a 6 and a half foot tent. That's actually less then 5 foot....plant is in pot...light hangs down a foot. We will see....did you check out the Landrace Team website? good luck and grow grow growthat sounds amazing, can't say i am aware of that strain. and i thought my plants took a long time to develop, i have to admit given how long those take i would consider myself fortunate. not aware of what LST is. how did you come by the seeds. if i ever heard of that strain it was probably in high time decades ago. the end result is the most important thing. as long as they produce some real fine bud its all worth it.![]()
