I acquired some mystery seeds at the weekend from another breeder with absolutely no information on them as came via a friend of friend etc. So I thought sod it, that along with one of the N Hashplant seeds I was kindly given from another grower are going in. I'm going for the latest photoperiod run ever...lol!

Wish me luck!

Ok, both now in their seedling bud cups in the propagator. The mystery seed has popped and stretching for the light but the N Hashplant has not yet (gave her a bit more water to encourage her along).

Some more info on the mystery seeds has come to light. They are Northern Lights F2 (winner!) with the odd Blueberry in there. So we'll see what we get (shouldn't be hard to tell the difference...lol!)

I was also in another thread discussing how I'm gonna keep them in veg outdoors this late in the day (season wise) and I think I'll probably just go with a string of incandescent lights for a few hours in to the evening. Considered lugging in then back out from my grow tent but don't think that's a goer for various reasons. No problem with the environment as I'm in SoCal, just hours of sunlight is what's needed at this stage.

Anyway, should be a fun experiment. πŸ€“

And the other ladies are looking good. They had a Recharge compost tea yesterday with some top watering and are guzzling around a gallon a day of water from the bases, give or take. I plan to give the Topanga Canyon and Death Star their second flower feed (of three) tomorrow and the Cherry Pie her first, she just started pre-flowering back end of this week. They'll all get their next dose of EWC as well. I'll post some pics up tomorrow afterwards.

Happy growing and weekend to all! 🌞

and as always, i love a good experiment! you SoCal dudes and all your sun! πŸ˜† ✌️

N00000, was checking out the Death Star and noticed a few nibbles leaves and looked a bit further and found...a bloody caterpillar! B@stards!

It's neem oil time tomorrow!
I just started kind of checking mine today. From here on out itll get pretty heavy. I don’t want those things on my buds.

Good luck dude! πŸ’ͺπŸ»πŸ’£πŸŽ―

Ordered!

I remember had similar issue with my Pineapple Skunk late in to flower last year, was not a winner. 🀬
I answered yes to your question and then deleted it because you had posted β€œordered” : )

Thats the stuff!πŸ˜€

Quick update on this beautiful morning. 🌞

They're all looking pretty good but having to be v careful with the heat and UV atm. Drinking like fishes as well (unsurprisingly). The Topanga and DS both had their 2/3 flower feed at the start of the week and the Cherry Pie had 1/3 so should start to really see that kicking in properly now.

The Captain Jack’s dead bug spray seems to have done the business but not before I noticed an off colour top of one of the DS colas, touched it and crumbled in to nothingness (had this last year with the caterpillars). Immediately lopped a few more inches off and looks to be ok now. 🀞

Ok, back for another update. It's been absolutely bloody boiling for last week or so, so I've been in and out with cool water for the ladies every day and lunchtime shade, sheesh. Hope everyone's grows are coming along swimmingly, we're just about getting to that time!

So with my outdoor ladies:

Topanga Canyon OG is coming along beautifully and packing it on now. She had her 3rd and final feed last week along with some EWC. A lovely citrus like smell has appeared with her as she blooms. V happy I got her back to this.

Death Star has been having more issues and in the last couple of weeks I've had to lop off at least 3 or 4 colas and various other parts due to those bloody caterpillars destroying her from the inside out. I've even quarantined her away from the other plants I'm so fearful and was actually entertaining thoughts of her not making it / cutting her down at one point. But but but, I think we might be ok now (famous last words). She'll get over the line but definitely a case of what what could have been. You live and learn... A very dank, heavy aroma to her at the moment. I think a tent grow would be very interesting with her, more on that later! πŸ˜‰ Also had her 3rd and final feed last week along with some EWC.

Next up, the Cherry Pie is now storming it after a few ups and downs and had her 2nd flower feed along with some EWC last week. Dare I say I might actually be able to smell a little sweetness on her now, oh ye (me) of little faith...lol! We'll see how she goes but looking really happy. Again pretty pleased t get her back to this.

Last but not least, the mystery seed! She is coming along amazingly. I transplanted her a week ago and have never seen such vigorous growth. Only thing I used differently for her was some of that Great White mycorrhizae and seems to have really done the trick but also must be good genetics surely. It's either a Northern Lights F2 or Blueberry. I think it's the NL as there's no sweetness on her yet.

I do have a qu about that Captain Jack's spray though @BearWater @Captspaulding

Will I need to wash my buds once chopped as it was sprayed on can I just go straight on without worrying about it? Any pointers much appreciated.

In other news, have also been preparing for my next tent grow. I have to get this done by mid-Dec so the clock is ticking but i was holding on a little to try and avoid some of this insane heat (garage sits at 75F overnight and up to 92F by end of the afternoon as the sun comes round). Anyway, I've cleaned the tent, gadgets and all the autopots and it all just needs to be plugged back together.

I think this is going to be my my last autos run for a while and I will finally do an indoor photos run come the new year. You got me at last @Greenjourneyman πŸ˜‚ Pretty excited tbh. Need to sort my photoperiod seed collection out a bit, sorely lacking!

Anyway, I'm going down from 6 to 4 strain this time as I would like to try and push them much more after getting a baseline last time out and I think if it works as well as I hope that will be the sweet spot for room in my 5x5. This obviously made choosing the strains even bloody harder though!

But here's the final four:

Speedrun SeedsBlappleberry HazeIndica dominant
Mephisto1:WaltSativa leaning 35/65 CBD/THC
Twisted TreesOG KushIndica leaning
NightOwl SeedsVanilla Fizz F2Sativa dominant

Blappleberry was nearly Golden Gun and it still might be but I think I'm set.

Away for the holiday next weekend so will start either end of this week or when I'm back next. 😊

Oh and I've been looking at chillers for my reservoir as those garage temps are wild. We'll see but it seems might it might be a good plan.

Nice man.
I knew you would come around. You’ll find there is a lot more time to play with, and you may get them bigger then your used too.
Hope you are well. It’s been a minute since I was engaged with this community. I should through up some summer outdoor and what I’m working on indoors.
Have a great vacation man.

Yes, all good thanks after a bit of a crazy Summer. Hope you're doing well also and your grows and clones are doing better. 😊

I'm pretty excited about the photos, should be a lot of fun and a good learning process. Looking forward to deciding what to grow!
