Defective’s backyard socal grow 🌱🌞🌲🔥

Well, my first grow journal. My last harvest was a couple of years ago, had a kid and time has flown by, been three years I think. I’ve grown indoor with coco and also with soil, but I just do outdoor for now.

Anyway, I usually grow one big ass plant, but I do like a variety, so I figured id try and cram 4 plants into the same space, start late, and hopefully have smaller plants and end up with roughly the same amount…we’ll see.

Seeds broke the surface 6/15 and went into the ground on 7/1.

I amended my soil with compost, worm castings, some wood ash, and some dr earth.

Kona Gold from Pua Mana
Blood haze from Hyp3rids
3 Bears og x toof decay from Mephisto

Well, you seen that shit coming from a mile away anyway man, so I already know that you’ve been kind of building yourself up to expect it, its always a bitch tho.
I’m in the middle of going through everything in my grow right now and I’ve got a couple of questionable looking plants and a whole lot that are really starting to show so I feel your pain man. There’s a couple of them that I’m on the fence about I’m sure I’ll know what the deal is in a couple few days myself but it’s gonna suck to see them go it always does

Ya it’s always a bit let down but it comes with the territory, I previously had two in that big pot and both ended up male…think I’m going to throw a couple of these Katsu bubba x mad Martigans in there…another crap shoot since they are regs so if either of em turn out female it’s just a little bonus and if not I’ll collect some pollen.

I know vegging plants aren’t very exciting, but lots of growth since last photo on Monday…threw a 5 gal bucket in there for scale.

Bottom left has more than doubled in size, the pbb x cman x okie…had to remove a few giant fan leaves they were just acting like a barrier for the lower branches.

So far it’s going as planned as far as size…monster plants stress me out.

I think that’s why I don’t grow regs anymore it’s just to much work inside that is

I’ll be happy with a qp per plant, but looks like I’ll have much more than that…I have some autos I’m gonna try next spring before the regular run too so I can keep on enjoying growing longer and pad the stash.

Preflower has started…stretching, pistils are coming…the tallest one is up to my shoulders and I’m 6’.

So looks like the pbb cman okie and the frostette finished their first week of flower, the other two, Kona and white runtz okie are on the verge.

Last weekend I top dressed with some dr earth flower girl and cleaned out some lowers and inner stuff. As I was doing this I noticed what appeared to be septoria spots on leaves. I’m 100% certain all 4 plants have it.

They still look good, but I have this sinking feeling in my stomach that I’m going to watch this slow deterioration and by then end they’re gonna look like shit. Gonna ride it out and see what happens…if they can charge into the first half of flower, maybe they’ll have momentum to make it to the end.

Frostette living up to her name…I’m surprised to see the frost coming already after one week of flower/..super zoomed in to catch that little guy.

Thank you, likewise…they’re still looking pretty good with some of those light colored spots, but as they get worse I’ll pull off every damn leaf one at a time if I have to!

The only one not flowering yet is the Kona so I shot it with more copper yesterday.

Everything still looking healthy in spite of the septoria…kinda bummed cuz I wanted to chuck a little pollen, but since septoria can be hiding in or on the seeds I’m not gonna do it.

Pbb x cman x Okie and frostette finished week 2, the white runtz is one week behind, and Kona looks like maybe starting finally.
