I've grown liberty haze 3 times and everytime no matter what I do it gets out of control.Like it has to be the tallest plant I've ever done .I top it and the branches shoot out and up taller than the damn plant .if I scrog it it still just climbs and branches out incredibly. Any tips on this strain would be appreciated. Btw the end product is amazing .Definitely unlike all other hazes

Liberty Haze is a beast man, classic haze stretch. I've fought that battle many times. The trick is planning for it and forcing it to grow sideways instead of up.

First thing - flip way earlier than you think. Only fill your screen like 50-60% in veg then flip. These things will triple in size easy.

Use smaller pots too. In soil I wouldn't go bigger than 5 gallon, maybe 3 gallon in coco. Big pots just give them more fuel to get huge.

Better yet run more plants with less veg time. Take clones and flip them right away or maybe 10-14 days veg max. Way easier to control a bunch of small plants than one monster.

For training you gotta be aggressive. Top to 8 mains in veg and tie everything perfectly horizontal, not just "kinda horizontal." Re-tie every week because they keep trying to reach up.

During the stretch weeks 1-2 of flower you gotta stay on top of it. Supercrop and bend everything into S-curves below your canopy height. Don't be gentle, these hazes can take it.

Double trellis works good too. First net about 8-10 inches above the pots, second one 14-18 inches above that. Keep weaving until about day 21 then stop.

Keep your lights a bit bluer during the first couple weeks of flower if you can. Avoid the red spectrum stuff that makes them stretch more. Don't dim the lights too much either, like 600-800 PPFD from day one.

Temperature wise keep day and night temps close together. Big temperature drops at lights out makes them stretch more. Maybe 78 day and 75-76 night.

Go easy on the nitrogen before flip and through week 2. Too much N makes them all rubbery and stretchy.

If it still tries to escape you can emergency supercrop around week 3-4. Hazes handle it better than most strains.

You're not doing anything wrong, Liberty Haze just wants to be a tree. Treat it like a vine and pin it down everywhere.

Appreciate it.yeah everytime they get to be the size of oak trees lol.People that have never grown this particular one dont understand how big and strong(thc wise) it gets .Definitely a strain you dont hear about anymore.wich is weird since its massive and super high thc and terpine profile .im just old I guess.
