Captspaulding is one of the best mentors in the forum, way better than me. @JaBy maybe you should send him a pm asking for nutrients, like I told you Iguana Juice is fucking great but there are many more options in the US that Im not aware of because theyre not in Spain.
@Crazyformes did you get rid of those insects? Looks like they munched a few leaves.
@Eledin he got stoned and flew away. 🤣😂thanks for the heads up....I didnt see it until you mentioned something. It only got the opposing leafs, nothing else. I checked all my plants, snipped the chewed ones. Then I sprayed with neem oil.
@JaBy Google Greenleaf he recommended Mega Crop #1, Seakelp, Cal-mag pro, Bud Explosion, Sweet Candy. Check the prices and compare.

I hear ya brother, I don't know what it is, maybe all those years of being suppressed, told weed is bad, weed is illegal, they can take your house if you get caught growing weed, and of course the bad conduct discharge as a military man. Well that's over, retired military and growing weed is legal in my state. I enjoy it now just as much or more than when I started growing....about 1 year. There is definatley a learning curve....my mentor has been @Captspaulding. Really great dude...if you follow Trainwrech you will see he comments quite often....if you got some time...check it out. I believe there are well over 3000 pages from start to present....lots of advice and questions answered. Its hillarious, there are some real characters that comment. Lots of good antics and lots and lots of knowledge...from weed, to shrooms...hash...clowns..🤣😂🤣😂
If what you are doing fertilze wise is good for you, stick with it. If you want to mix it up try Greenleaf. I was doing fox farm....too pricey, pain in the bum measuring the liquid. With greenleaf I just weigh it out and add to the water.
I flipped my ladies to 12/12 today, gave them a weaker dose of the flower nutes...I will step it up over next couple weeks...more P and K. (Potassium and Phosphate)
The bud sites are stacking up, looks to be a good run.
Last 2 photos are my newest members, Cali Blue and Bob Barker.....going in the tent. Was using as a drying and curing tent. That is one thing that I picked up on Trainwrech....storage jars have a hydrometer sealed in top of jar so you can monitor the humidity.
i used to go to trainwreck when i first got here. I gotta figure the capt as so many here has really got his shit together. i had a blast on trainwreck with everyone, some of the coolest fuckers one could interact with. i'm a work in progress but i prefer to perhaps take the long way around which means i'll likely never perfect what i am doing 🙃, eh, as long as somewhere along the way i am able to produce some fine bud i still smile.

i think i'll give the iguana juice a try, given it's got a formula for veg and bloom from what i've seen it's likely as good as anything else. i would prefer to lean heavily toward compost and use the ferts occasionally which should make the ferts last longer. i'm guaging how things finalize with this grow and consider how i'm going to approach the next grow, what i would likely change. i am actually growing my plants in my closet. occasionally i'll let them out to get some sunshine.

i'm hoping your buds are as sweet and fine as possible, Gotta Love It

i dig the hell outta the capt. i try not to bug people. the iguana juice in my opinion should do fine from what we've talked about. i am going to try to depend more on compost so i don't have to add as much fert so the stuff should last. given that i was using generic organic ferts up to this point i gotta figure it will do a better job. my big issue is making sure this grow stays as healthy as it is at this point if not healthier. the ferts i go with next are of an interest to perhaps get better results overall from previous grows but not absolutely necessary.

way too much stuff. did my 1st grow posted on tchfarmer with a 50/50 mix of dirt from the backyard and compost. did have some veg and bloom generic ferts but i really didn't use em as they were slow acting and had to be mixed with the soil. i would say i do appreciate the info as any info is a good heads up. i'll give them a look for sure but not likely to get a lot of stuff. i gotta figure out where the ph is at for what i'm using as it appear the water i'm using (tap water) may be a bit higher than preferred so that would be the main thing i gotta get a handle on. the last 2 grows and this one initially were far from peak health. this grow appears to be panning out now but i could have done 2 grows in the time this one will have taken. the first grow was done in another city and the soil there was different than it is here. i liked the idea that volcanic rock occurred naturally where i was at the time, i figured if volcanic rock was good for hawaii weed how bad could it be where i was at.

i gotta admit i'm very conflicted as to the direction to go. on one hand the best results i got so far was grow 1 which i used little other than regular dirt and compost. on the other hand there are so many things that would improve on the results i realized for grow 1. i prefer not to aquire too much stuff but then again some things are fairly indispensable. in addition i would like to feel out my own path perhaps discovering new things as i go.

main thing for now is attempting to insure this grow stays healthy, it's been too long since i was able to sample my own new bud and i'm really dying to smoke some new harvest. i still got bud from the last grows but the better buds are almost gone. got plenty of disp bud but it's not the same.

Yeah man you do you. I just shared what I use and my results. Everyone had there own process. I take some from here and some from there and then turn that into my routine. If something goes bad ask for advice for next grow. Im pretty much dialed in right now. The results of this grow look promising....the plants are healthy during veg stage, nodes and prefliwers are many....now the buds gotta be large and dense and then I will be dialed in.

I do use volcanic rock dust in my super soil, its freaking awesome! I buy it from a spanish brand, its called top vulcan by top crop but I dont think it will be available in the US, but there should be other brands. If you can find it and can afford it I highly recommend it and I suspect it played a big role in supplying your first grow with micronutrients. Its a well known fact that the best farming land is near volcanoes.
Didnt you have basalt around? I know you mentioned it before but maybe it was refeering to your first grow.

and to think i had it available by just digging up in the yard................. it's all downhill from here 🤖

don't know what basalt is.............. Hey, WaitAMinute............. got salt right in the name 🤢🫨😱😭. can't be good 🥺. 😄

actually i'm ignorant as to basalt. i can't recall ever using it............ could be a senior moment or a short term/long term memory issue. now i will have that haunt me until i can figure whether i ever used it. Wow, you really suck........ 🤣

Hahaha dont worry basalt is just the most widely used and available form of volcanic rock. Its gray and black and can come in the form of dust or small pebbles. The one I use is basalt too, it has powdered basalt and basalt pebbles. What you had in your soil back then was most likely basalt aswell.

very nice........... i'm gonna have to look into getting some of either. i imagine the idea of growing some phenomenal ground breaking bud to rival the best hawaiian bud is not likely but one can dreammmmm.... 🫠🫠🫠🥴

i suppose i could drive the 100 miles to go and dig some up from where i was for grow 1. 🤔🤔🤔🤔

i looked online for some and found a lot of stuff labelled azomite rock dust........ is this the same thing or of equivalent benefit?

this was the first thing i clicked on so i can't say how relevant the prices or material is compared to other sources.

yeah, i checked the mileage....... about 300 miles round trip.......... my car does get decent mileage but it would still be about $50 in gas.......... but the soil would be free 🤔🤔🤔🙃.

some perspective as compared to grow 2. the containers are about the same height as the present grow.

i looked at this site which suggests that basalt may be higher in ph.

That doesnt matter, many ammendments are too high or too low in PH. I grow in peat soil, peat has a PH of 3-4 but it comes calibrated at 6-6,5ph when you buy a bag of peat soil. The same way, when you add all you need to add to your soil the PH will be balanced.
