Hi. I'm in Orange county California. I'm currently using Veg bloom Dirty with my outdoor plants in Veg. I'm starting to see some flower pistols. I wanted to add Shine but was curious about timing. What ratios do you recommend of Shine and veg bloom dirty and when? I included a picture of one . Thanks in advance for the help!

Nice growth man, those really took off between May and July.

Don't start the Shine yet though. In SoCal your photos are probably just showing preflowers now but won't really start flowering until late July or August. You want to wait until after the stretch when you see actual little buds forming and the vertical growth slows down.

For now just keep running the DIRTY at like 1.2-1.6 EC, maybe 600-800 ppm on the 0.5 scale. Keep your pH around 6.2-6.6 for soil.

Once they really start flowering in a few weeks you can add the Shine but start low, like 0.25-0.5 grams per gallon. That stuff spikes your EC fast so watch your tips for burning.

During the bulk phase you can bump it up to maybe 0.5-1.0 grams per gallon if they're handling it well. But back off the DIRTY a little so you don't overdo the nitrogen.

Last week or so just run plain water or very light base nutes, no Shine.

When you mix it up add your silica first if you use it, then the DIRTY, then the Shine. Mix it good then adjust your pH.

Make sure you're getting good runoff and watch that your runoff EC doesn't climb too much higher than what you're putting in. If it starts creeping up you're overfeeding.

The DIRTY should cover your cal-mag needs with tap water so don't add extra unless you're on RO.

Thanks for the info. I eased up on shine this week. I saw a tiny bit of orange hairs. Seems like all the stretch ended 3 weeks ago. Crossing my fingers for a decent run.

Very nice. Not familiar with Shine... Where is this available?
