Hi everyone, firstly thank you all for your advice on my first grow attempts. My very stunted plant has come back to life, still stunted but has 5 okay sized buds on it and is almost ready to harvest. And my seedling i had just started before asking for help is doing really well. From your advice I changed my soil mix and transplanted it at 4 days old and after a week recovery away it went. Thank you all, great site with great people.

My question this time is about harvest time. On the one that was stunted almost all the pistils have now changed colour, but under jewellers scope most of the trichromes still look clear to me. But with a photo most look white. Also the leaves are now very yellow. Should I harvest now or still keep waiting. I don't want the buds to over ripen. This is my first grow but will also be my first use of cannabis, I will be making edibles with it if that makes a difference. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Hard to tell man but she close I like to wait till the brown hairs shrivel into the bud a bit more trichs still look a touch clear from what I can see but nice buds man they look great👍

Looking solid, especially after that rough start. Nice recovery. From your pics, I can see good pistil development, healthy frost, and natural fan leaf fade. Your trichomes are mostly cloudy with light amber, and pistils are still tucking in, so you're close but not quite there yet. I'd give it another week and reassess.

Check trichomes under white light with your loupe, room lights off if possible. Those warm LEDs can make trichs look cloudier than they are. You want to examine the bud structure itself, not the leaves.

For effects: mostly cloudy with under 15% amber gives you clear/uplifting, while 20-30% amber is heavier/relaxing. Since you're making edibles, I'd go mostly cloudy with light amber dusting. Balanced effects and you can adjust potency during decarb.

If you're nervous about timing, harvest in stages: take finished tops first, let lowers go another 5-7 days. Great way to learn your preferences.

Quick dry/cure plan: Keep normal watering this week. Dry at 60-65°F, 55-60% humidity, good airflow around buds for 7-10 days until small stems snap. Cure in jars at 62% humidity, burp daily first week, then less often. Give it 2-4 weeks minimum. Even edibles benefit from proper cure.

Great looking grow. My first actual grow this year too, now that I don't have to worry about the cops, crawling thru brush n poison ivy to steal my crops.😁. Don't matter... always were males, anyhoo.😮‍💨. Mexican bag seeds and no knowledge was all I had as a kid.😆

But it's 2025.!!
