Hey guys.

Just felt like posting about this because it made sense to me, and I thought it was new information that I’d never before!

There is a study (which I’ll link later) that studied the effects of stress on sever types of plants, and they found that once these plants were stressed by no water for a longer period of time….

That they were better equipped the next time they did the same stress!

Called stress memory.

Faster recovery each time up to a certain point that I can’t remember ha ha.

Thoughts?

Tolerance buildup is observed in all forms of life, be it plants, animals or any of those other new categories that didn't exist when we were schooled.

Be it environmental conditions or even diet, life has an amazing ability to adapt. This planet has experienced catastrophes that life has prevailed through solely because of its adaptability. As the planet warms or cools even outside of acceptable parameters, life will adapt just fine, even if humans don't.

Indeed. All life today can trace its beginning back to the first life. Our evolutionary ancestors survived every disaster.

OS,

It’s called adaptation. Grow a plant in the shade then move it into bright June sunshine. The yellow leaves are sun bleached and fall away but the plant if it survives, adapts changing leaf pigments and controlling water loss.

Same with water conservation, Thicker cell walls, fewer stomata, thicker cuticle, etc.
