i looked online for some and found a lot of stuff labelled azomite rock dust........ is this the same thing or of equivalent benefit?

this was the first thing i clicked on so i can't say how relevant the prices or material is compared to other sources.

Its not the same, azomite is volcanic rock too but its specifically from Utah and it has a slightly different composition than basalt but similar, both are used to give micronutrients to the plants and if you revisit my post where I have the video where I show all my ammendments, you will see I have basalt (when I mention volcanic ash) and azomite. Let me repost it here, dont mind my voice I was super tired when I did this:

If you buy a premixed ammendment it will have some sort of ammendment for micronutrients. For example this is the composition of gaia green all purpose:
  • Feather meal: A source of slow-release nitrogen.
  • Alfalfa meal: Provides nitrogen, phosphorus, and trace minerals.
  • Bone meal: A source of phosphorus and calcium.
  • Blood meal: A source of nitrogen.
  • Glacial rock dust: Improves soil structure and provides trace minerals. <------
  • Natural rock phosphate: Provides phosphorus.
  • Fishbone meal: A source of phosphorus and calcium.
  • Potassium sulphate: Provides potassium.
  • Insect frass: A source of nutrients and beneficial microbes.
  • Kelp meal: Provides micronutrients and growth stimulants. <------
  • Gypsum: Adds calcium and sulfur.
  • Greensand: A source of potassium and trace minerals. <------
Personally Im not a fan of bone and blood meal because they come from farms that are not organic most of the times but I would trust gaia green I think. What worries me is that old bones accumulate lead and that massive farms use antibiotics that stay in blood meal but Ive seen great results with this brand in particular in the forum. There are other options if you wanna avoid blood meal and bone meal like me. This is just to show you that you can get top notch ammendments already mixed for you.

Wow... #3 has already showed her buds. Im on day 9....lots of bud structure. But no buds yet....anther 10 days??? I hope to see soon.
How many hours of light per day are they recieving? Its been under 12-12 for 9 days? If so you should start seeing pistils showing in secondary branches and the cola soon.

looking forward to seeing some super fine bud. i imagine depending on the strain it would take more or less time. as long as they are female in time some outstanding results are bound to materialize......... 😍👍👍👍👍

my plants are 20 days into flowering today. i took another pic of #3 as it is the strongest developer. looks a lot like the #3 from the last grow.

i have to admit i didn't watch it when i first saw it, i try not to watch vids on this device. i did watch it this time. i have to admit i really love the wide array of materials you have. it's not a likely option for me as to what i am doing for now but it's good to have a versatile supply of diverse materials as many things can happen in a grow. one thing i know is you do grow some fine bud, truly fine. from the pics i've seen i would be happy to produce bud as fine as what you have. even this last grow where you had things go less than perfect you still were able to pull out some fine results.

while i show a nice cola for each plant for the most part, you (and many others here at thcfarmer) display plants that show the many cola's on each plant that are all just amazing. while i don't incorporate the technics to do the same what can i say but Hats Off To The Chef and Gotta Love it..... 😍

That doesnt matter, many ammendments are too high or too low in PH. I grow in peat soil, peat has a PH of 3-4 but it comes calibrated at 6-6,5ph when you buy a bag of peat soil. The same way, when you add all you need to add to your soil the PH will be balanced.
i did see something about peat moss being lower in ph. given i have liitle insight as to many areas of growing i was wondering, if my water is alkaline and i added peat moss to the soil i imagine the two would act to moderate the ph level of the two. i imagine it would hinge somewhat on how much of either was introduced into the equation. too little water the peat would have a greater effect, too much water and the water ph would influence the overall ph more.

They are all starting to show...I unleashed my beast....its been behind a privacy lattice....to close to sidewalk for drying eyes. Had to build a fortress around her.

i've been thinking of some of the fine bud i've had the immense pleasure to have enjoyed. in particular what i might consider the finest bud i was fortunate to smoke. that would be the strongest most delicious grape strain i obtained years ago in Indiana............... i'll never stop looking for something that even comes close to that outstanding smoke, so Truly Outstanding. 🫠

here's to the day when cannabis is legal everywhere, to the day when those responsible for so much stunning bud are no longer relegated to hiding, when they can openly take credit for their super fine cannabis.......... Thank You Indiana, You Shall Always Be In My Memory. 🤗👍👍👍👍👍

keep it going, it's gonna be so excellent to get sweet, tasty, potent bud. the kind that never fails to put a smile on your face. everytime you spark one up you can say I Grew This.👍👍👍👍👍🥴

i tied to find info on a strain i got in washington state that was called bubble berry that was supposed to be a cross between bubblegum and berry white. no matter how many times i try to find anything on it i'm never successful. i have seen other variants but never this particular cross. it had a most notable taste of bazooka bubblegum and sweet lemon lollipop. i did however come across this, something i never had the pleasure to try.

That kinda works but over-time. The ph of the buffers in the soil is gonna be always the most important, exposure to hard water will eventually change the PH of the peat but you need weeks for that to happen, in the meantime your PH will fluctuate in between alkaline and acidic when you water which is not ideal. Thats why peat soils come at 6-6,5ph, they already put ph buffers for you in there so its not too acidic.

the previous chart was something i came across online.

this chart is something Eledin provided me with. it seems they are notably different, that being the case i would go by this chart
