Hey guys, hope everyone's Saturday is going well! .. I had a quick question, if you don't mind.. does anyone have experience with azomite, or volcanic ash? I need like an everso slight top off for K and calcium/iron without upping the N.. and this looks like the ticket! The only problem is I can only use it as a top dress and I'm already either three weeks into flower or just at the end of stretch, depending on which plant.. I'm just curious if it as a top dress would do anything at all, or if the minerals/nutrients would take too long for the microbes to break down? You can also water in something like recharge and get the biological party started right before or after top dressing. Also use a little earthworm castings to help with immediate nutrient needs. That’s my advice, kinda better late than never spin on it.

Dude yes thanks man, I did take a fork and poke around at the soil before adding it, then I watered it in pretty good, never heard of recharge I'm super new lol so thank you I'll seriously look into that. Earthworm castings were In my hand and I put them back so thank you, that is the next step!

As @FloridaMike mentioned, you’ll still need some nitrogen to get through flower and most ewc are a 1/0/0 ratio for npk. So it’ll help.

i recently had to change my amendment strategy for nitrogen. way longer and way more. I had 4 plants and 2 were in week 4 flower and 2 in just expressing pistels.
the 2 older plants top dressed with EWC did not halt fade at all and lost every fan and most sugars pulled at necrosis. the 2 older plants took 2 -3 weeks to respond but kept fans much later and last llant very close has a lot of sugars left. All organic grows take a while and amendments are needed before they are needed.
first 4 plants were a learning curve and the plan keeps getting stronger.
the idea that you want to do just K is so wierd that I found only one magic bottle and it is 0-0-60 omg 60! I think it is for people who craft there own nutes.

I have chased what I thought was a nitrogen deficiency in organic soil before, it’s definitely difficult to remedy those issues especially in flower with amendments. I have some neptunes harvest organic bottled nutrients for quick fixes just incase I need quick results.
And yeah some of those pk boosters are insane with the ratios, sounds like a sure fire way to cause more damage than fix.

Sometimes I just miss shit that is right in front of me. My flower nute choice did have a veg kit but I decided that the organic top dressing would work until flower nutes started. What I had not noticed is that like a lot of products you keep using the veg nutes until week 7 so you actually overlap veg and flower for a short time. this gives N through week 10 or so allowing the nitrogen taper at the end.
This is the kind of mistake that would always knock my attitude into the dirt when I worked on cars. Data in front of you and I missed it.

If I test high nitrogen but show deficiency it's more epsom in the water.
